Hanging up the Lights Round 2

We initially hung up the outside Christmas lights and decor the week after Thanksgiving. The more we looked at it the more we realized we just weren't happy with the setup. The lights we used were small and mismatched-they had worked on our old house, but they weren't really working with the new one, plus we didn't put any lights on the higher eves and we weren't loving how it was all looking. So we took all the outside lights down, and we invested some money in new lights and a tool that was supposed to help get the lights on the taller parts of the roof. Well the new tool didn't really work as it was supposed to. There was quite a bit of yelling, and swearing, and throwing things plus anxiety on my part with Landon being up on the steep parts of the roof, but finally somehow the new lights go hung and they looked great. I'm glad Landon didn't die in the process. I am thankful that he was willing to hang Christmas lights not once but twice this year. I bought a wreath for the front door as a finishing touch.

Next year I think we might look into one of those services that hang your lights for you ;)
