A Day at the Lake and the Front Yard

Today has been a busy fun filled day. We started the day out bright and early, 4:30am to be exact, and headed to Yankee Meadow. Yankee Meadow is a reservoir about an hour and a half from St. George. The fishing was good. The kids had fun, despite the fact that Chloe did fall in the lake at one point. My dad and mom and my sister Mandy and her husband Cody and their kids went to. I should add this in Tanner caught the biggest fish though Grandpa Leland might not be to happy to admit this!

About 11:00 we headed home. After a little nap. Saydee and Gavin came back over and we set up the blow up water slide, and also the other water slide the neigbor rigged up in the swimming pool. The kids had a blast.

Now were taking a break for a little while longer and then Landon and the kids are headed to the Roadrunners game. Maybe while there gone I'll be able to catch up on some scrapbooking, reading, or maybe some sleep.
Update on the baseball game: The game lasted from 7:00 until about 11:00 needless to say the kids didn't make it all the way through I ended up going to pick them up about 9:00 which was okay because they were happy but tired and came home and went right to sleep. Chloe decided to give the roadrunner five this time and then was quite dissapointed when he didn't give her a baseball like he did Tanner. He did however give her some sunflower seeds. Tanner and Landon got picked out of the audience to participate in one of in between inning activites/entertainment. It was called Father and Son T-Ball. They were supposed to hit the teeball to different positions on the field. Tanner ended up winning and got a $5 gift certificate. I'm sure it was entertaining to watch. When they were done Chloe asked Landon when it was her turn to hit. I guess I should have been there with my camera.

What a Week!

Today has been a long day for all of us. Actually it's been a long week. The above picture illustrates just how worn out Chloe is. The summer has been busy with activities with Karate, Gymanstics, and Swim Lessons. Then we have also been doing something with my cousins Tyler and Sam who are my kids age 2 days a week since my Grandma has been watching them those days during the summer. Here's a sample of our schedules for the last couple of days-

Wed:
Karate and Gymnastics 11:00
Swim Lesson 12:00
Lunch with Ty, Sam, Grandma 1:00
Play on Water Slide with Ty, Sam and Chloe's Friend 1:30-3:30

Thurs:
Library 10:30
Quick Stop at Water Park next to Library with Ty, Sam, Grandma 11:00-11:40
Lunch on the Go 11:40-12:00
Swim Lessons 12:00
Swimming with Gram and the Boys at Washington City Rec Center 1:15-4:00

No wonder Chloe was so tired. This picture was taken about 5minutes after we got home today. I'm glad tomorrow is Friday there are no swim lessons on Friday and nothing else either that way we can catch up on some rest. Until it all starts over next week I guess.

Swim Lessons

Yesterday the kids started their swim lessons. They were quite excited about it.
Tanner is doing quite well. I was surprised today how well he could do chicken, airplane, zoom on his back and actually stay afloat. Today at the end of class they all went off the diving board. This was his first time ever and he thought it was pretty cool.

This is a picture of Chloe and her friend Megan they are in class together. They have lots of fun. Chloe actually put her head all the way under today. That is a big step for her. She has also been floating on her back with her teachers help. Last year she didn't pass this class because she refused to do those two things.

Happy Fathers Day!

Today of course is Fathers Day. The kids gave Landon a St. George Roadrunners t-shirt and tickets to an upcoming game. They of course got matching t-shirts and tickets to the game as well. This I believe was brillant planning on my part, because now they can all go enjoy a baseball game and I can stay home and have a nice quiet evening.

I would like to say that Landon really is a great Dad and the kids and myself really love him. The kids love him so much in fact that on Mother's Day Chloe insited on making Landon a Mother's Day card instead of me.

Taryn and Brenda in answer to your comments I don't think Landon has seen the blog in a few days, but this is now 2 pictures in a row, he'd better find a gun and start sleeping with it. Just Kidding Land.

Happy Fathers Day to my Dad and Father-In-Law also and all the other guy Dad's in the family.

Kid Free!

Landon and I are kids free for a couple of days. The kids went up to my mom and dad's house in Cedar City yesterday and are staying there until Sunday. Landon and I hardly know what to do it has been a long time since we have been without the kids for more than a couple of hours. In fact I can't remember when the last time was. It is kind of nice, but I have to admit it did get kind of lonely during the day while Landon was at work. On the upside I was able to go and crop at Pebbles for awhile and actually got quite a bit done, and I also got to have a nice peacefull sit down lunch at a restaraunt with my Grandma.

Thanks Dad and Mom!

Happy Birthday Chloe and Mom

I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my Daughter Chloe who is 4 today, and to my mom also. I won't put her age on the blog because I don't want her to beat me.

Chloe had a princess Birthday Party this year. My Mom and Grandma made her this cute castle cake. She loved it.

Chloe's friends all came to the party in their princess dresses. They made crowns which they are modeling in this picture, heard a story from the fairy godmother (Chloe's Grandma), and played pin the princess on the castle. I think Chloe had a fun day.
When she was helping me clean up the house before the party she kept saying we want to clean this house up so it looks like a castle not a dungeon.

Summer Games

Yesterday Tanner competed in the Utah Summer Games in Karate. It was his first time doing this and he was excited but a little nervous too. At the first of the games they had all the kids line up and walk around the gym waving like they do at the opening exercises at the Olympics. It was so cute. He competed in a weapon form and sparring, next year we will know what to expect and he will be ready to compete in more stuff. He did a great job!

After that we went swimming at Veyo Pool for the elder's quorum party. Chloe was having so much fun that when it was time to go I had to drag her out of the pool and she cried the whole way home. Sorry no pictures for this one.

Go Roadrunners!

Okay so tonight we attended a St. George Roadrunners baseball Game. Landon's work has sesson tickets and he happened to get dibs on them for tonight so there we were. Much to Landon's dismay the lady sitting next to us was reading a book, since he had told the kids and me before we left the house one of the rules of watching a baseball game was no reading books! Anyways Chloe was quite smitten with the roadrunner mascot. He was sitting up above us for awhile and she would wave at him and then just smile when he waved back she thought it was great. That is until he headed down the stairs towards us. She was okay until he came up to us then she would start screaming everyone around us would just laugh. So then this went on for the rest of the game he would walk by and come up to Chloe and try to get her to give him five and she would scream and get a chuckle out of the audience. She practically climbed up the back of her chair the one time he acted like he was coming over the railing to get next to her. At the end of the game he gave Tanner five and then gave him a baseball and walked away. Once he was gone and Chloe realized what had happened she was like hey I want a ball. Everyone around us thought that was real funny.
Oh yeah I better add this in for Landon's sake they won 13 to 3. At least I think that was the score.

Just Another Day

Today has just been one of those boring days. We went to the park earlier and Tanner had Karate practice, but other than that we have just been home. The fact that a storm has moved in doesn't really help matters much. So we've been stuck at home with nothing much to do except clean. Exciting right well at least for Chloe it is. She is so happy when she gets to help me clean the only promblem is that sometimes she is to helpful. She wants to do everything from sweep and mop to wash bathroom mirrors, and scrub the toilet. She even does dishes. Today I kept her occupied cleaning walls while I cleaned the bathrooms. The walls do look good, but we're down about a half a bottle of windex. Then I was ready to call it a day, but she was persistent that we now clean the kitchen floors. Well what the heck we don't have anything better to do.

Rub a Dub Dub

Rub a Dub Dub Three Kids in a Tub
And who do you think they be?
A Tanner, A Chloe, a Black Cocker Spaniel
They all sailed out to sea.

Or they at least sailed out to the front yard. Anyways I was taking a nap Saturday afternoon and Landon was in charge of the kids. When I got up and went outside this is the picture I found the kids along with the dog in the inflatable boat in their little swimming pool. I guess they didn't need a sea or a lake for that matter to have a good time.
