T-Ball (Week 7)

Another t-ball game down. I really do love watching him play, but I'm glad the season is almost over. It's been rough most weeks he falls asleep and then cries when we get to the field. His schedule has been off, and it doesn't help that things have been chaotic around home as we get ready to move. Once he gets on the field though he loves it and always leaves the game smiling. (it's just getting him there that's the hard part) #BryceEE

Mother's Day

In honor of mother's day here is one of my favorite pictures of me and my Mom. AWE! Seriously though I'm so grateful to have her as my Mom. She made sure growing up that I was well taken care of and had the things I needed. She worked hard. Today she is one of my best friends. Love you Mom!
I had one of the most relaxing Mother's Days I've had in a long time. I didn't go to church. I didn't do anything. I stayed in my pajamas All Day Long. I slept in late, I took a nap, I read. I seriously just relaxed. Landon made breakfast. The kids got me some great cards and some thoughtful presents (a pickle ball bag, and The Greatest Showman DVD and CD-which we listen to every single day-per the kids as much as me).

Outdoor Movie Night

Our neighbor, Brandon, built a really cool outdoor movie screen. It is huge. We had fun last weekend watching movies outside both Friday and Saturday night.

The one thing I think we will miss the most when we move is the close friendships we have with our neighbors. We always have fun get togethers whether impromptu or planned out.

Mud Run

For Youth Conference this year our ward participated in the Hurricane Mud Run. The Mud Run is a 5K course filled with obstacles. Many of the obstacles include dirt, mud, and water. Chloe was super excited about it and loved every minute.

This obstacle she loved so much, that she did it the first time, and then did it a second time when here friends got to it. HA! She is crazy!

The youth had a good time. Afterwards they warmed up, had a small devotional, and some lunch. It was a good experience for them and something they will definitely remember.

Packing and Waiting

I think the waiting is the hardest thing about buying a new house. Waiting for an offer to be accepted, waiting for home inspections, waiting for home appraisals, waiting for the bank, etc. I'm not the most patient person so it makes it even harder-that and I want to plan-I want to get it done, so I can go forward. That being said we have started packing a little bit here and there. I have been collecting boxes and a lady donated a bunch to me. So many in fact that when we went to pick them up every inch of my car was filled except for the spot where Bryce was sitting. He thought it was pretty funny, until the boxes started falling on top of him on the way home.
Hopefully the waiting game can be over soon!!!

T-Ball (week 6)

Bryce's t-ball game didn't get off to a great start. First off, he fell asleep again, before we left, so I had to wake him up and he was grumpy. We made it to the field on time though and were getting out of the car and realized that while trying to get a grumpy child in the car we had forgotten his bag with all his stuff in it. I said "well should we just go home and not play today" and Bryce was like "yep" and hopped back in the car-HA! I told him I was just joking and him and Landon headed over to the field while I ran home to get his stuff. He was able to borrow a bat (from a team mate) and a mitt (from the opposite team) during the first inning, and I made it back by the second with his bag-so at least he had his stuff for the last two innings. Also in all the craziness I forgot both the camera and my phone on the way back so no pictures at the game.
Even though Bryce gets ornery sometimes before his games he really does like to play and always has fun once the games get going. He was especially happy this week since we stopped at orange peel on the way home for a smoothie.

Another Flat Tire

I picked Bryce up from school and as I was leaving a guy in the parking lot waved me over. I pulled over and he told me my tire was completely flat and that he could see a razor blade sticking out of it. WHAT? SERIOUSLY?! It seems like this keeps happening. Anyways I parked the car and hitched a ride home from Sandi. Then I had to borrow Tanner's car for the afternoon. Later that night Landon aired it up enough that he could get my car home and then get my tire off and take it into the shop. The verdict it couldn't be fixed so we ended up buying a new tire. Not exactly what I wanted to be spending money on right now-but that's life I guess.

T-Ball (Week 5)

Bryce had another t-ball game. He fell asleep again and was a little grumpy walking to the dugout, however then Landon and Tanner ended up helping out, and that made him happy. In fact I think it made his day! He hit really well as usual. I realized that he sticks his tongue out when he runs the bases-seriously so cute.

Mother's Day Tea Party

Bryce had a Mother's Day tea party at school. We were both super excited to go, since last year we missed it because he woke up the morning of with a fever. That being said he was excited, but he made sure to tell me and everyone who asked that it was not a date. HA!
They had written poems for us and took turns reading them. After Bryce was done he brought mine over and threw it at me. LOL
They served us parfait, which they dished up themselves. Mine was a little delayed since Bryce got some of the yogurt on his fingers (a serious sensory thing for him) and couldn't figure out what to do. He finally managed to work it out and bring me my parfait.
He opted for a cookie and lemonade.

They handed out bracelets that they had made us.
Also some cute cards. I love that I am green!
It was a fun little outing for the two of us. I love my little guy so much. It's kind of sad that he is growing up so fast.

The Decision to Sale

We have lived in our house for close to 11 years. We bought when the market was high and stuck out a huge crash in the market (where our home almost lost half of it's value). Once again the market is up, and we are finally in a position to make a move. We are ready. We have loved our house, our neighbors, our ward, our friends, but we just need more space. We need space where we can have a moment to ourselves, a backyard to play in, somewhere besides the living room for Bryce to play with his toys, more room for when Chloe has her friends over, we just need more space. We started talking about it seriously a couple weeks ago. We met with a mortgage officer and got pre-approved for a new mortgage. We spent 5 days cleaning our house from top to bottom and making some needed repairs to get it ready to list. We spend a weekend looking at houses and found one we would like to buy. Then we put ours up for sale. Three days later we had accepted an offer on it.

We also put an offer in on the house we wanted to buy and it was accepted. We are excited! That being said the next few weeks will be crazy. We need to pack and figure out the details of closing and moving since it's supposed to be right when we are headed to New York for Tanner's graduation trip. Along with packing and getting ready to go we have three graduations to attend. 1 graduation-Chloe's I am in charge of. I'm also planning a little dinner for Tanner's graduation. To top it all off we have a softball tournament one weekend. So it's going to be crazy around here for the next few weeks, but so worth it.
