Basketball Tournament and Grandma's House

A few days after Christmas we traveled to Cedar City for 3 days of basketball games and to visit my Grandma. Overall Chloe had a good tournament. She played three games with the Freshman team, unfortunately they didn't win any of them. She also played one game with the Sophomore team and they were able to pull off a win.

My Grandma Marshall lives in Cedar City so we were able to visit her and stay at her house one night. Bryce was happy because he was able to stay there instead of going to the basketball games. He was also happy to wake up one morning and see snow. He ran out to play in it for a few seconds. My Grandma also treated us to a yummy breakfast of crepes. SO GOOD! Bryce ate a couple and Chloe ate about 5.

After the last game it was time to travel further north and meet up with Landon's family for our annual family reunion.

December Book Recap

Here is what I read in December...

There wasn't anything I hated. In fact I really liked most of them. My favorite read for the month was The Noel Stranger with 5 stars. I always love a good Richard Paul Evans Novel. My least favorite was Restoring Christmas with only 3 stars-it was just missing a little something. All the rest ranked at a solid 4.

December Goal Review

Decemeber Goal Review

Red Means Not Doing Well
Blue Needs Improvement
Green Accomplished or on Target to Reach Goal

OKAY SO I PRETTY MUCH JUST GAVE UP IN DECEMBER ON WORKING ON ANY GOALS AND WAS KIND OF JUST IN MAKE IT THROUGH IT SURVIVAL MODE.I didn't keep track. I don't really know how I did, but I don't think I really did well on anything, well except for my reading I did get my 3 books in-HA!
HERE's to a better 2019

Spiritual
-Read Scriptures 5 Days A Week
-Read Lesson Material for Relief Society each week
-Attend 2nd Hour (family history or Sunday School more regularly)
Since starting next year we only have two hours of church not 3 I have pretty much given up on this goal altogether.
-No Social Media on Sunday morning Before Church
-More Personal Prayers
-Don't work on Sunday (I do some work from home for my Mom and I want to limit this to Monday-Saturday and not work on Sundays)

Health and Fitness
-Run, Walk, Bike, or Swim 1 mile once a week
I pretty much have substituted play Pickleball or Basketball instead of the other and I actually think I get more than the 1 mile a week in. It was Pickelball League this month so that really helped too.
-Only drink Coke once a week except for my period/headache week

Financial
-Do better at staying on budget and not spending my weekly petty cash before I have it
Um I suck at this!
-Save any dimes we get for the year (we read something about it and want to test it out)

Educational
-Read at least 3 books per month (I want to focus on reading more and being on social media less)

Personal
-Continue Blogging
Still trying to get caught up, hoping to by the end of the year!
-Do Better at Keeping the House Clean

Christmas Get Together #3

Christmas Day was our last get together of the season. We had Christmas dinner at our house. My Grandma Marshall came down from Cedar and my sisters Tiffanie and Sandi and their families joined us as well. We were able to visit and enjoy a delicious meal. The kids all had a blast playing with Bryce's giant cards. It was a great day just spending time with family and relaxing. Even though it can be a lot of work I'm glad we finally have a place big enough were we can host these get togethers.

Merry Christmas

Bryce was so excited when Christmas morning finally came. He could hardly wait to come down the stairs. We didn't get up quite as earlier this year as we have in the past but it was still pretty early-just before 6, when we got up.

There was no containing him once he got to the bottom and he raced into the living room before Landon even made it downstairs.
He was surprised with what Santa brought.
First item of business-check out the stockings. This is always a highlight for the kids. They always get good treats and fun little trinkets in their stockings. This year they also each got a basketball, to go with the sports court that was part of Christmas.

Pez and Peeps are two of the things they get every year. They always look forward to the pez.

Chloe found some coal in her stocking
The best part about Christmas morning was watching Bryce. He was so excited! And yes he got so spoiled. He had so many presents, but the rest of us enjoyed every minute of it.
Look at that goofball

Yay! The hotwheels track he wanted
The cats even got a little something-via request from Bryce to Santa

Lego Spinjitzu another one of the top items on his wish list

Chloe got a little surprise from Santa Claus-the Hannah Montana DVD

Tanner got a new blender to make it easier to make smoothies and blend drinks

Chloe gave Bryce these giant playing cards-they soon became one of the favorite Christmas gifts.
Chloe got a snowboard and season pass. Tanner gave her boots to go with it.
Tanner helped Bryce buy Christmas presents for everyone. He was so excited to give them to us. All of the cards sang and had gift cards inside of them.

Happy Spoiled Boy
Chloe was pretty stocked about her new shoes.
After opening presents Landon made a traditional Christmas morning breakfast of French Toast.
While the older two kids spent time helping Bryce put toys together and then play with them with him.

I spent some time looking over my newest Blog Book
We had a great Christmas morning. I know we are so blessed to be able to spend it together and for everything we were able to give and receive. Merry Christmas. Know time to rest for a few hours, before our 3rd and final get together of the season begins.
