Spring Break in Arizona (day 4)

Day 4 was a pretty laid back day. We did some work at my Mom's house and finished her photo collage wall. I think it turned out really good. Now I want to create one at our house.
We also did a little shopping and then went back to Fat Cats. Tuesdays all movies are $5, and the kids wanted to test out the recliners, which they have instead of regular movie theater seats. It was fun. The movie we saw was 'A Wrinkle in Time' it was okay-but I was a little disappointed it didn't follow the classic story a little bit better.
The kids spent more time playing the wii, and I mentally prepared myself for the drive home the next day.

Spring Break in Arizona (day 3 part 2)

Monday was definitely our busiest day. After going to the zoo we headed to IFLY (an indoor skydiving place). You can tell from my posts how different each of my kids are. They each got to choose one activity for the trip. I bet you can guess who chose the indoor skydiving-yep Chloe. Bryce of course chose the Zoo, and Tanner the shopping. At IFLY Bryce took his first nap in several days while Tanner and Chloe suited up.

After they were in their flight gear they headed to the jump zone. It's really like a big wind tunnel. The first step is getting comfortable and figuring out how to hold your body. The more flights you take the better it is. We only paid for two each, but if we did it again we would probably try and do more.

Both of their favorite parts was the high fly where they take them up really high in the tunnel.

I think they both had fun.
After this we picked some food up on the way back to my Mom's and were ready to crash for the rest of the night.

Spring Break in Arizona (day 3 part 1)

Day 3 was Monday and it was to be our busiest day. First up on the list-a trip to the Zoo. Bryce had been waiting for this for weeks. He was so excited to see all of the animals. He was glad when he got a map and he kept checking it to make sure we had seen everything-the one thing he really wanted to see that we never found were the Eagles. The birds were some of his favorite things about the visit. I think we ended up seeing pretty much everything else though.

Bryce and Chloe both rode a camel. At first Bryce told me he didn't want to ride one, but then once he saw them and realized they didn't go fast and that he could ride with Chloe he climbed right on.

At one of the monkey cages we were actually able to go inside the cage. It was pretty cool because you got a better look at the little guys. Bryce was excited because they were the kind of monkey that is on Pirates of the Caribbean (his latest obsession)

Along with the normal zoo animals the zoo was also holding Dinosaurs in the Desert. They had and exhibit set up with life size dinosaur models. The dinosaurs moved and made noise and it was pretty cool to walk through and see. Bryce really liked the dinosaur that spit fake poison (water) and would tell everyone about it.

At lunch Chloe tried to get a picture or my Mom and I and Bryce kept photo bombing us. HA-little ham.

After lunch it was time for a ride on the carousel. Bryce wanted to ride a leopard and was lucky enough to get one.

Bryce was growling like his leopard

Before leaving we stopped at the Sting Ray Pool. Bryce and Tanner weren't interested in touching them, but Chloe was.

Our last stop was the gift shop. Bryce with the help of Grandma Tawny found a parrot-so now he can be a real pirate. Tanner also with the help of Grandma Tawny found a like like gorilla hand that could grab things-that thing would plague me the rest of the trip, but it brought hours of entertainment and laughs to all three kids. Too bad I didn't get a picture of the kids with that crazy gorilla hand.
