Ski Trip

Landon and I went skiing today at Brian Head. It was kind of a belated anniversary get away. It was fun and the weather actually turned out being pretty nice, when we first got there we were afraid the wind might blow and make things miserable, but it died down and we had good weather. I was glad for the hot chocolate Landon made and brought along in a thermos though. We hit almost every lift and run at the resort, it was nice just going all over the mountain. We did skip a few of the black diamond runs, however Landon did hit some of them, while I went down some easier ones. He'll be ready to join the ski patrol next year. Ha HaThanks Mom for watching the kids. They had lots of fun yard selling and are very pleased with their purchases.

Happy Anniversary

Today is Landon and my 9th Anniversary. Can you believe it, yep we've been married for nine whole years. Most of them good.
On Saturday we are going skiing for our anniversary the kids are staying with my mom, so I thought we kind of had a truce not to do anything. Well this morning I went out to eat breakfast and pack Tanner a lunch and there were some roses and a nice card. How Sweet of him.
Thanks Landon I Love You!

Our Fun Weekend

This weekend we went up to Salt Lake to see Disney on Ice. It was lots of fun. Chloe went up a day ahead of the rest of us with my Grandma Marshall she dropped her off at Grandpa Dave and Grandma Wendy's in Flowell. It was a good thing she got to go a little early since she had had her suitcase packed since Monday morning.
This is the picture Grandpa Dave said he opened the door to on Thursday night. Chloe was standing on the door with her suitcase with no one else in sight. She had jumped out of the car and knocked on the door, before my Grandma even had a chance to get out of the car.
On Friday the rest of the fam went on up we stayed the night in Flowell, and then Saturday morning we headed up to Salt Lake where we met my mom and sister Mandy and her two kids Saydee and Gavin. We road TRAXX over to the energy solutions arena. The kids thought this was great.
We met up with Landon's sister Brenda and her daughter Makele at Energy Solutions and then we saw Disney on Ice. This time the shows were Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Lilo and Stitch, and Peter Pan. We have never been before, and the kids loved it. Especially Chloe she didn't take her eyes of the ice the whole time, and she would just be on the edge of her seat smiling every time I looked over. Chloe, Saydee, and Makele all got matching Minnie Mouse stuffed animals. Gavin and Tanner both got swords of course. After that we went on up to Ogden and went to dinner with all Landon's sisters and their families at Sizzler. It was fun and actually went pretty well with a count of 6 kids.
We stayed the night at Landon sisters Shawna's house and then traveled home today. The kids loved playing with Kylie and her new puppy Griz.
It was a fun, but busy and long weekend.

Mini Albums My Way

Okay so I am so excited about this Mini Album I just made it is a digital one from shutterfly. It turned out really nice and the good thing is it only took me about an hour and a half to complete it and include 56 pictures. That's one whole vacation done.
The thing with shutterfly and snapfish is that if you watch for deals and sales then you can get these types of things for really cheap. If you sign up at Shutterfly you get an automatic $10 credit, and you can combine deals too. I used my $10 credit, 20% off albums, and Free Shipping when I did this one. It ended up costing me $19.11 my sister did one at the same time a little bigger in size with not as fancy of a cover and got hers for about $14. So if you shop around it's way cheaper than buying a mini album and all the supplies to go with it, and it takes less time too. Plus these will last forever.
Anyways Just Thought I'd Share.

Dinosaur Tracks with the Scouts

Tonight for scouts we decided to be brave and step outside of our normal box. We took 12 boys and 1 girl (Chloe) to the dinosaur museaum. We did have 7 adults, but still with boys that age it is a little scary. I had visions of displays crashing to the ground and boys catapulting onto the displays. I am glad to say that we had not problems whatsoever in fact the boys were amazingly well behaved. Maybe we will take them somewhere again. The museam really is quite interesting if any of you are ever visiting St. George and want to visist. It has some of the most unique, rare, and complete tracks of several different types of dinosaurs in th U.S. The kids all seemed to enjoy their visit.

New Bike

Well we had to buy Chloe a new bike, we were going to get her one for he Birthday, but a couple days ago she came to us and said "come listen to my bike". So we went on out and it was making a horrible noise and the front wheel looked like it was about to fall off. Well come to find out the spokes had broken off from the actuall tire (they were plastic spokes not the metal ones). I guess she was just to rough on it. So we broke down and got her a new one early. She loves her new bike all she ever wants to do now is ride it. She had a tuff time at first because it was a little bigger that her old one, but she has caught on quickly and is now riding like a pro, she has even learned how to use the brakes (a feature her old bike didn't have).

A Garden and a Swing Set

Last week we were busy. We got a garden spot ready at my Grandma Marshall's house, and we even got our peas planted. Tanner hauled rocks up to go around it from the wash behind her house, and then had fun riding the wagon back down the hill like a snowbaord.
Then Landon built the kids a new swing set. They love it. We still need to add the cargo climbing net and the baby swing for Taelor but it's complete for the most part, and the kids are happy. They were so sad on Saturday when Landon spent all day on it and then it was to heavy for him to lift up by himself, luckily Uncle Brandon came over Sunday afternoon and they had it up in about two minutes.
