Trick or Treat

Last night we went trick or treating. First stop was to pick up Tanner's friend Rohun then on to Grandma's house for Carmel popcorn balls (a Halloween tradition). They were so YUMMY!We then met up with our neighbors and had a fun night trick or treating. Now if I can just hide all the goodies from myself the kids are pretty good about regulating what and how much candy they eat-it's their mommy that has the problem. LOL

Class Parties

The kids had a fun day Friday at their class parties at school. Chloe went as a butterfly and Tanner went as a baseball player. Chloe was so excited that our neighbor did her hair and makeup. Fun Times :)

Carving Pumpkins

We had a pumpkin carving party with some friends. Chloe was so excited because I let her carve the whole thing herself this year without any help and she did. Tanner was mainly just excited to decide what he wanted to make a moose or "moosen" for all you Brian Regan fans. He would do a little carving and then take a break to ride his scooter around and shoot his nerf gun. We all had fun though and I think the pumpkins turned out looking great!

Fall Carnival Fun!

Yesterday was GWA's annual fall carnival-the kids are always excited to go. We spent the day before making stuff for the bake sale and cake decorating contest. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookies and Pumpkin, Skeleton, and Spider Cake Pops. YUMMY The kids both had a small performance with their classes and then we spent the rest of the time playing and eating. The carnival was a little bigger this year so we actually had to wait in lines a couple of times. I couldn't believe that Chloe and her friend Kyler waited in line for almost an hour to get their faces painted. I don't any pictures of Tanner because he was off running around with his friends. All the kids had fun so I guess it was a good day!

Diorama and School Pictures

Chloe had her first diorama project on animal habitats-she chose underground. I think Grandpa and his love of prairie dogs might have had some influence on her. Her diorama is complete with groundhogs, ants, spiders, worms, and a mole-she included real dirt and rocks and carrots made out of candy corn and pipe cleaners.

Cake Pops

My Mom invited us over for family night to try our hand at making cake pops. Have you hear of them yet? They are so cute and fun. Little balls of cake dipped in chocolate and decorated in cute and creative ways. There is a whole book on different ways you can decorate them. We made mummies, spiders and pumpkins.

Soccer Game and Sidewalk Chalk

On Saturday we had another soccer game. We won 9-3. Chloe scored a goal again. WOOT! She is turning into quite the little soccer player must be the awesome coach she has-LOL.

In the afternoon the neighborhood gathered at our house or at least it seemed like it, haha. My friend had the great idea of bringing out the sidewalk chalk for the kids. They all spent hours outside drawing and drawing even Tanner got involved. The sidewalk was covered from one end of my house to the next and one up into the garage. How fun-I love the drawings done by little kids-so cute.

She Thinks He Could Rope the Moon

So Chloe literally thinks her Daddy could give her the moon. Especially when he brings her home something like this...

Yep that's right-a piano. Chloe has been wanting to start taking piano lessons. We told her she could once she had kept her room clean and done her homework for a few weeks without any problems. Our neighbor was going to let her use his piano to practice and Landon told her someday we might get you a piano if you really like it. THEN the next day he shows up with this in his pickup. Can you believe it someone at work just happened to need a good home for one and they gave it to him for FREE!

Something Old Something New

So we have been needing a new dresser for Chloe's room. I have be searching the listings on craigslist and KSL when I finally came across one. I found this lady who finds old furniture and gives it a new lift making it look new again. Check out her blog www.lostnfoundfurniture.blogspot.com . I thought her prices were very reasonable as well.

Here is the dresser she did for Chloe's room.

Also when we were there I asked if she happened to have a nightstand she could make her to match. She came up with this. Love it!

Chloe is thrilled she kept saying it's so beautiful and was so happy to bring it home.
