SCOUTS

Okay Leslie you requested a picture of us all in our lovely scout uniforms here it is. All I can say is that I'm glad women can now wear these tan uniforms, and that I don't have to wear one of the bright yellow ones from the past. Tanner is still loving scouts. They had scout day camp two weeks ago, and him and his friends had so much fun. They even earned their BB Gun Belt Loop who could ask for more.
Chloe is still quite upset that she can't have a scout shirt. I'm thinking of just getting her a small one from the DI just to let her wear. I don't know if that would be breaking any rules though. I mean it's not like she would be joining or earning badges or anything. She would just have a shirt to match the fam.

Gymnastics

The kids both are in gymnastics now. Chloe has been doing it for awhile and today was Tanner's 3rd class. Both of my kids have the flexibility and bodies for gymnastics. They could both probably be good at it if they choose. They are both really loving it right now. Chloe picked out this outfit because she said it looks like Shawn Johnson. I always hear her pretending she is talking to Shawn on her pretend phone and stuff, it's so cute. I am glad Tanner wanted to do something else after Karate and not just sit home. They both only go for an hour on Tues., unfourtunately that hour is not at the same time, but it's back to back so it's not to bad, and at least it's only once a week.

Tanner's Baptism

Last Saturday was a special day- Tanner got Baptized. It was nice to have lots of family and friends with us to share the special day. I'm glad my dad was able to make it despite just having back surgery. And thank you Grandma for letting everyone have lunch at your house, and later take over your t.v. because after all there was a BYU football game on. It was a nice day for Tanner. On our way to the church Chloe told Tanner "don't forget your swimming suit". Chloe had never been to a baptism before so she didn't know what to expect I guess. Thank you Tanner for being a good example to your little sister. I am so proud of my little boy.

Happy Day Sad Day

Today has definately been one of those days. Chloe started preschool and I was happy because she was and because she is getting so grown up it's been fun to watch.
Then Tanner hits me with the news that he doesn't want to do Karate anymore and is in fact refusing to go. So we had to go talk to his instructor Mr. Reis. You have to understand we have been doing this since Tanner was 4 and still in Preschool he is now 8 and in 3rd Grade. It has been a big part of our lifes. Mr. Reis talked to Tanner and Tanner was still adiment on quitting, so we pulled him out. I don't know if he is just burnt out and needs a break or what. It was hard though I was crying by the time we left, what a baby, Tanner seemed to take it fine. Maybe it will be good for Tanner maybe he can try some new things for awhile basketball, gymnastics, and he said something about Chess. I do hope though at some point he decides to go back and at least get his black belt, he was so close, but I guess it's up to him. I do have hope though Mr. Reis told us he quit for 2 years when he was a brown belt, and he is now a 5X World Champion, so who knows what could happen with Tanner in the future.

Chloe Starts Preschool

Chloe started preschool today. She was so excited. She wore her backpack around the house for and hour before we even had to go. She gets to go to preschool with me which is fun for both of us. It actually worked out pretty good, she was well behaved, only getting upset one time when I couldn't sit right next to her at lunch. She said her favorite part was riding the tricylces. When Landon got home from school she told him "Dad preschool is so fun." She was also pretending to be Teacher Sharon most of the afternoon. I think it will be a fun year. I also found out that employees get half tuition so that makes me even happier.

Battle Wounds

Just thought I would post this. The first is a picture of my dad after his back surgery a week ago. Ouch it definately doesn't look fun. Dad I really hope you get feeling better soon.
The second is a picture of Landon after his little incident while building the tree house. It looks bad, but not quite as bad as my Dad's above. Still I'm glad it wasn't me, and I hope your leg gets better soon to Land.
Love You Both
