Thanksgiving Weekend

We spent Thanksgiving in Flowell with Landon's family. The whole family was able to come except for his sister Shawna. We ate dinner ate his Grandma Robison's house where another Aunt and her family joined us as well. The dinner, and especially the pie, was delicious.
That night Landon, Tanner, and I along with my mom and sister Mandy went Black Friday shopping. We had lots of fun and stayed up all night until we got home the next morning and went back to bed for awhile.
The kids had so much fun with their cousins. They would get up early and stay up late every day. Except for Tanner who would actually sleep in, the younger kids just couldn't fathom what would keep him in bed so long each day and they would anxiously be awaiting for him to wake up.
One day Landon's Dad broke out his Mom and Grandma's old costume jewelry and let all the kids and grandkids go through it and pick out some treasures. Chloe had the time of her life and has been wearing her new earrings and necklace to school all week-LOL

Of course we went on our annual Christmas tree hunt. Here are the girlies...
 and the boys...
 the whole gang...
Landon and Chloe finally found the perfect tree!
After the tree hunt we all went out to lunch-that was a real treat with the whole crew but it was fun. Then we came home and the kids played Bingo and made sugar cookies. Later that night a few of us went to Delta to see the last Twilight Movie. We had a nice time.
The only bad thing about the weekend is that the kids and I all came home with colds, I actually had to be put on an antibiotic-no fun. Chloe was so sad to leave her Grandma and cousins that Landon actually had to carry her to the car kicking and screaming and then she cried all the way to Cove Fort which is about 30 miles away :(

Talk in Church

Today Tanner gave his first official talk in Church. He did a great job and we were so proud of him. It was hard for him to do it, because of his anxiety, but he got up there and didn't really seem to nervous at all. He was the youth speaker and was supposed to pick a topic out of the "For the Strength of Youth Manual"-he chose the topic Good Friends. He prepared and wrote the talk all by himself.
I have never given a talk in sacrament meeting in my entire life. Just the thought of doing it makes me have an anxiety attack. I wish I would have when I was younger so that I was better prepared now. Hopefully by having Tanner start young he will be better off for it :)
Yep every day our little boy grows up more and more.

Straight A's

Well this week it was parent teacher conference for the kids. They both got glowing reports. Straight A's for both of them. Tanner was happy to start out his middle school years with a GPA of 4.0. Their school is really academic so straight A's is a really big deal. I was especially proud of Chloe cause she has been working so hard on her Math this year and was able to get an A- this trimester. She does really well in everything else and is an especially good speller. She is on the high end of the spectrum in all of her subjects. She also got a 5 (which is the highest you can get) for her citizenship grade. I love what her teacher wrote: Chloe is always respectful and "tries" to stay on task.  HAHA I know Chloe tries so hard it is just so hard for her to contain all of her energy for 6 hours :) Tanner was of course off the charts on his reading and spelling, as usual, and right where he should be in everything else.

Education is super important to me and I really want to make sure the kids get the best education they possibly can. So I choose a reward for the year that they can choose from each semester if they get straight A's. This year the options were a trip to the movies or $20.

Umbilical Cord

Last night we had some really, really spicy dinner. Chloe was very concerned about this because it was really too hot for her to eat. She asked me if there was anyway I could make it so that what I ate didn't go through the umbilical cord to the baby because she didn't want it to hurt him. She is already turning into a very protective big sister :)

Halloween

We had lots of festivities going on for Halloween. The Monday before we went out to my Grandmas for family night and we made carmel apples. These are one of my all time favorites and they were so good!!!

The night before Halloween we had a ward trunk or treat and chili dinner.  There was a parade and games for the kids as well as the trunk or treating. We had a huge turnout and most of the people in the ward came even those without kids.

The scouts set up a trunk...

Here are Landon and I's costumes for the night-they were stick figures-haha. They lit up and stuff they were pretty cool once it got dark.
Halloween day the kids had parades and parties at the school. Tanner went back and forth between whether or not he was going to dress up. A couple days before Halloween we were at the store and he said if I got him this banana costume he would wear it. Chloe was a little devil.
Here is her devil pose pretty scary huh!
At school with her two best friends...
We went trick or treating that night. My Mom stopped by for a visit to show off her flapper costume or as Chloe called it her flipper costume.
Tanner went trick or treating with his friends I guess he is getting to old to go with the family. He was a demon banana instead of just a regular banana.
Tanner came home and sorted out his candy, he got rid of all the stuff he didn't like, and got the rest all organized. I didn't dare to steal a piece cause I knew he knew how many pieces of each thing he had-haha.
Chloe thought it seemed like a fun idea, so she joined in.

Pumpkins

Carving Pumpkins....

The kids had fun carving their pumpkins it was nice especially since they could pretty much do all of it on their own this year. The light bright kit I bought Chloe for hers helped all she had to do was map out the pattern and the pound in the stakes. Landon thought it was the best thing since slice bread-haha, since it let him watch a little more of the world series and help out a little less. Weird thing all of our pumpkins went bad before Halloween it must have been too hot for them or something so I had to by new ones a couple of days before.
Sad but true right after these pictures were taken Chloe was taking a picture of her pumpkin and dropped my camera and broke the lens. Which means all my pictures for awhile will be from a phone or else from the camera I borrowed from my mom. :(

Fall Carnival

Every year our school has a Fall Carnival. It is the really big event of the year, and always lots of fun. Chloe and her friend Brydee made cupcakes for the cake walk...

Last year I waited in line for two hours for the kids to do this. This year I was smart and we went there very first before the line got too long, although I think I still waited for an hour, it wasn't quite as bad. While I waited I had the kids go do the other big things so we got them all in before the lines were to long.

Of course you have to get your face painted at a carnival...

 Here is the cute bunch.
Tanner went but he was busy running around with his friends. Tanner and I actually had to leave after a couple of hours to head down to Mesquite for his ball tournament. Chloe was able to stay with our friends. I think she stayed for like 6 hours. When she got to my Grandma's that afternoon she took her shoes off and declared that her feet hurt. My Grandma said they didn't slow her down for long though before she was back on the go.
