Softball---Last Hurrah Before School Starts

Chloe had a softball tournament in Salt Lake the week before school started so we decided to make a little mini vacation out of it.

The tournament was was a three day tournament but they didn't make it to the 3rd day so that gave us a whole free day to do something.

We decided to go to Lagoon. COVID and masks were still a thing and it seems like they will be for probably another year, but we have decided to just continue to do as much as we can and try not to let it hold us back. Lagoon was open, but you had to stand 6 feet apart when in the lines-also you had to have your mask on anytime you were in an actual line, but if you weren't in line or once you got on the ride you could take them off.

We got soaked on the Rattle Snake Rapids Ride---her is the before...
and then the after...
Log Flume

Bryce loved riding all of the rides-he got braver and braver and we even got him on some pretty big roller coasters with us.

Chloe got a little hangry at one point until we got some food in her.

Bryce was out cold about 5 minutes after we left-we played hard and he walked and walked and walked.
Peace Out-we had a blast-now it's time to get ready for school to start on Monday.

How I Feel About Masks

I hate wearing masks. Like completely loath it-so when I saw this grinch mask I just had to buy it-haha!

And just in case you are wondering we are pretty much anti mask around here. We will wear one when we absolutely have to, but for the most part we don't or put them on just enough to appease people. I will be so happy when this whole COVID thing is over and we can not have to have one of these dang things on our faces.

Puppies and Popsicles

Bryce likes to share his popsicle with Mookie and Mookie doesn't mind one bit. HAHA. Crazy Kid.

The Cutest Dood

Mookie really is the cutest Dood (doodle) he has the cutest face and personality. He looks like a big teddy bear. I think I take just as many pictures of him as I do of my kids--sometimes even more.

Going Darker

I really needed to do something with my hair-so I made a trip to Vegas to visit my Aunt Jamie and let her work some magic on me. I decided to go darker, a little different than I normally do. I love how it turned out and it felt so good to get it done again.

Ellison Family Reunion

This year Landon's sister Taryn was in charge of the family reunion...we went camping to Granite Flats in Northern Utah. The kids always have a good time with their cousins and seem to pick up right back were they were the last time they were together. That meant the boys were back at the poker and card games.

The "cousins club'
Grandma Wendy put on her annual treasure hunt and the kids found some fun treasures like these funny glasses.

Mookie loved running around in the great outdoors
There were many games of softball and kickball played at the field located in the campground.
We spent one day playing on the lake. The kids had fun on the paddleboards and kayaks and the dogs even got in on the fun.

The girls made a quadruple stack of hammocks and even slept in them at night.

We really did have a fun time. It was nice to get out in nature and away from all of the COVID chaos for awhile-we are lucky the campground we went to stayed open because some of those have even shut down periodically with this whole COVID mess. Until next year...

Softball Weekend and a Rocky Start to Vacation

Chloe had a softball tournament and it proceeded Landon's family reunion. Since the family reunion was a campout we decided to just tow our trailer to the tournament and stay in it and then continue on to the reunion. We had purchased a brand new trailer, the second one in a new business venture we had started, and we were excited to take that with us and test it out. Imagine our dismay when we traveled 4 hours from home and the slide out would not work at all-it literally would not budge. To say we were frustrated and upset would be an understatement. Landon was livid. He called the dealership and told them to have us a replacement there by the next day. Luckily they complied and we were able to restart the weekend on a better foot.
I guess you can't go wrong with softball and snow cones during the day

and some spike ball in the evenings.

Now it's time to head to the reunion.
