Spirit Week

Last week at school it was spirit week. The kids always love this week and have lots of fun doing the different themes for each day. One day it was dress as your future career. Tanner dressed as a basketball player and Chloe of course was a Marine Animal Trainer. What a nice daddy she has to make her this shirt (and yes she did pack that killer whale around school with her for the day-haha).

And of course you can't forget the all time favorite-Crazy Hair Day. Of course Tanner had detailed plans on how I was to do his, including a star stencil for me to use :) We just left Chloe's like it was when she woke up and added a little color. Of course we couldn't leave Beckett out so we gave him a little blue mohawk.

Cousins

My sister Mandy's kids were in town for a few days while her and Cody were deer hunting. The kids were so excited to be able to spend some time with their cousins. They didn't have school Monday so that made it even better because they were able to play all day long. We invited Taelor over to play as well. I thought maybe I had lost my mind a little bit when I took all 5 of them to the park and then out to lunch. Needless to say we didn't go in to eat even though Tanner thought we should. I pulled up to Artic Circle and was like there is no way I'm even attempting going in there-just navigating the drive up with that many orders was a challenge-haha. It was fun though and later   that night we went out for frozen yogurt with my mom. Chloe didn't know why Saydee had to go home. She wanted her to stay longer, but there comes a point when regular life must resume :)

All Dressed Up

Chloe loves getting all dressed up and wearing fancy things. The night before my Grandpa Doug's funeral she had a sleepover at my Mom's house. The next day when they were getting ready my Mom was putting on a scarf and Chloe said "Grandma aren't you going to get me one out to wear too".

Happy Birthday Beckett!!

Sunday was Beckett's Birthday. He is now one year old. The kids insisted on celebrating. The made sure we bought him a present and they even wrapped it. Tanner made a banner and hung it up in the front room. Then after church we took him to the dog park to play.

I can't believe he has gone from this...

to this...

He is now like one of the biggest cocker spaniels I have ever seen HAHA! If Chloe tried to hold him like that now he would smash her. I'm glad we got him though both of the kids love him to bits.

Grandpa Doug

On Sunday morning, of last week, I received a call letting me know that my Grandpa Doug had unexpectedly passed away the night before. It was quite a shock to everyone because he had been doing pretty well and wasn't sick or in the hospital or anything like that.
Today is his funeral. He will greatly be missed. He leaves behind many family members and friends who have fond memories of him. He loved to talk and reminisce and was considered a lively character. He loved to golf and ride his Harley. He loved his pets and has always had a dog. This is his latest puppy Izzy. Chloe loves her as much as Grandpa did. She would always want to go over to visit so she could play with Izzy. I heard her telling some of her friends about Grandpa dying and she talked a lot about Izzy as well.
We will all miss him. He was a great guy. Love you Grandpa!

Flowell Weekend

Last Weekend we went to Flowell. It was General Conference weekend, so that meant Landon didn't have any responsibilities at church on Sunday so we could stay the whole weekend. The kids were so excited to be able to see all of their cousins. There is never a dull moment when the 14 of them are together! Tanner is like the pied piper leading the troops around-especially the boys the follow him everywhere. The girls do the same with Kylie the oldest girl cousin.
Grandma had a lot of pumpkins in her patch and painting them kept the kids busy at least for awhile.

Chloe and Makele loved helping Grandma with the cooking. Here they are cutting up potatoes for potato salad, while Tanner torments them in the background.
On Sunday we had a special 80th Birthday Party for Landon's Grandma-Pearl Robison. It was nice. All of her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids were able to be there except for one granddaughter and her family, who lives out of state.
The weekend was fun filled and the kids played their hearts out. They both fell asleep on the way home within a few minutes. Even Tanner took a nap-which is unusual. Beckett must have been worn out from all the fun too, because he fell asleep on top of Tanner and slept the whole way home.
We are so glad we get these opportunities every once in awhile to catch up with everyone and we are already looking forward to our next get together at Thanksgiving.

Red

Chloe has been wanting to dye her hair for the last few months. Last Friday we finally got around to doing it or at least my mom did. She wanted red hair and that is what she got! RED! RED! I was   shocked at first and it took me a bit to adjust to the change but I have grown to really like it. I was also worried that someone at school would say something mean, but I shouldn't have been all the kids love it and the teachers too. Our one little neighbor boy told Chloe "I like your new hair, actually he said it's rather gorgeous" haha. They all complement her on it and say how much it makes her blue eyes stand out. Last night at my Grandpa's funeral we were standing in the line and every single person that came through told Chloe they loved her beautiful red hair-she would just look at me and smile- she wasn't telling her secret. They all probably just assumed it was natural cause Grandma has red hair too :)

Staheli Farm

Last week for activity days we took a trip to Staheli Farm. Quite brave of us to take 16 girls to a corn maze don't ya think-no really they were all pretty good and no one got lost for to long-haha.
They have some really neat stuff there: corn maze, rope swing, this huge tarp with air under for kids to jump on, a pumpkin patch, snacks, petting zoo, and much more.
Getting Lost in the Corn Maze...

This was one of Chloe's favorite things it is a huge slide made out of a black plastic pipe and at the end they fall into corn. She loved playing in the corn.
We had a good time. We visited the pumpkin patch as we were leaving and of course Chloe picked out a huge 20lb pumpkin, she actually wanted a bigger one but I was having a hard time carrying the 20 pounder. Luckily a nice boy that was working there carried it most of the way to the car for us.

Chloe's School Picture...Finally

Well I finally got Chloe's school picture CD. We never found it, and I started to wonder if she never actually had it after all. I called Bell Photographers and they sent me a new disc within a few days, they didn't even make me pay for the replacement for which I was very grateful.
So here she is our 3rd Grade Girl...
