52 weeks old

52 weeks old and 1 days away from a year. He is growing up so fast and changing right before our eyes. He is such a ham and thinks he can do whatever brother and sister are doing, hence the wii remote in the pictures. His very favorite toys are balls. He will throw them around all day long. Tanner gave him a basketball hoop for his Birthday and he will spend hours dunking on it. It is so fun to watch him grow and learn new things. Every day he gets braver and braver with his walking and takes more and more steps.

1 year Photo Shoot

We did his photo shoot a few weeks before his birthday because I wanted to have some pictures for his party. Of course like always I am super happy with how they turned out so there is going to be a ton of pictures on this post. The only thing I wish is that I would have had Landon cut his hair before his pictures not after, cause I couldn't really do much with it, but oh well they are still cute as ever. Glad Chloe got out of school early-upon her insistence, to come with me, cause she was able to pull smiles out of him that neither I nor the photographer could.

51 weeks old

51 weeks old and only 7 days away from being a year. He is a real ham. Don't you love the bruise he has on his head-he always manages to have a bruise, scratch, or welt somewhere on his body as he is into everything at this point.
Okay now for the drum roll.....He took his first official steps on Monday January 20 for Landon and Tanner while Mommy was gone. Look out world it won't be long until our little man will be running!!!-LOL

Basketball Season

Basketball Season is in full swing around here. Tanner and Chloe are both playing again.
I am coaching Chloe's team-they are THE HEAT. It is interesting coaching 9 girls, sometimes practices can be a challenge, but all in all I enjoy it and really like the girls + I love basketball. Landon says I do better when I coach Chloe's teams then when I am on the sidelines-LOL. They play games every Tuesday at 5 and we practice Friday afternoons at 3:30. They have had two games so far this year.Chloe is doing really well and I can already seen an improvement in her ball handling skills from last year. She is still as aggressive as ever and is getting steals and rebounds like nobody else during her games. She has scored at least on basket in every game. Her second game was a tough one it was back and forth the whole game with who was in the lead. At the very end Chloe's team ended up losing by about 4 points. She was so upset that on the way home she was just crying and so upset. I think it's because she is so into the game and so aggressive that it was just hard on her. She was like I just don't know what's wrong with me-why am I crying-LOL poor girl! The sad thing is that it's not going to get any better I can still remember bus rides home with the basketball team after losing a tough game and their were girls who were angry and girls who were crying_HAHA it has only begun.

Tanner is also playing. He has had 2 games so far this year, but the 1st one we were out of town for, so he has only played one. That one his team won, by quite a bit. We actually felt kind of bad for the other team-I think they only score a few baskets total. Tanner is number 20 in a blue jersey...
Every-time I see Tanner play I just am amazed at how far he has come. He has gotten way more aggressive and will drive the ball in. He is also just  a smart player he knows how and when to pass or when to drive or shoot. He doesn't always get a good hard grip on a rebound or jump-ball but he is at least in there fighting for them. A few years ago I thought basketball wouldn't really be his thing, but now I think he will do well with it. He says he would like to try out for the Freshmen Team next year-so we will see how that goes when the time comes.

First Haircut 1/11/14

Bryce has really been needing a haircut-lately I have been at a loss as to what to do with his hair. So Saturday while I was laying on the couch Landon took on the task of cutting his Bryce's hair. It was a little bit tricky as Bryce wanted to move around quite a bit, but he got it done and it looks so much better. I am so happy to be able to style it into a cute little faux hawk once again.

OUCH!!!

So last Saturday we planned a little outing with our friends the Davey's. The plan was to roller blade/ bike ride to a park outside of town. Landon and Tanner were going to drive and meet us over there so they could play some ball. Then we would have some picnic snacks and come home. Well it started out good the weather was nice the kids were all excited on their bikes, blades, and in the jogging stroller. As we headed out my friend was pushing the stroller-note I have really only rollerbladed very much while pushing it. It kind of helps to balance me also I haven't really gone down any sort of incline pretty much just on flatter surfaces. Well first mistake I was talking to my sister on the cellphone and fell down-ouch that hurt a little but I was able to hop right back up after that fall and shake it off. Then we go a couple more feet and meet an slight incline I had just put my phone away but I think I was still a little off balance plus not prepared for the incline and then suddenly OUCH. I am on my backside again trying hard not to pass out from the extreme pain. Well we all eventually made it to the park, but by the time we got there, there was no way I would be able to make it home. Good thing Landon and Tanner were there and I was able to ride back with them. I came home took some pain killers and didn't get off the couch the rest of the day. Monday I went into the doctor and they did some x-rays doesn't look like anything is broke but just badly bruised. A tailbone bruising though can take up to a month to heal. I am feeling a little better, but still hurt pretty badly when I bend over, lift something, or sit down. I hope it heals quickly-not fun at all!!!

50 Weeks

Our little guy is 50 weeks old and only 2 weeks away from turning 1. What?! seriously where has the past year gone? He is becoming stubborn and really fights his naps at times, he also has quite a temper if you take something away from him that he thinks he needs. He really loves eating apples (whole or by the slice), tater tots and fries (he has learned to dip them in ketchup), and milkshakes-LOL. He also like drinking milk out of a cup with a straw. He does not walk yet, but will stand up for several seconds without holding onto anything before he realizes he is at which point he quickly grabs hold of something. Another thing he loves to do is to brush his teeth-if anyone is brushing theirs he wants to brush his too. Oh yes and he is definitely attached to his mommy and makes it hard for her to leave him with anyone-we need to work on that one ;)

Ogden

A couple of weeks ago we went to Ogden for the weekend. We had a lot to do while we were up there. Bryce was not feeling well for most of the time as it was when he was teething so it was kind of a miserable trip for him, but overall it was okay and we had a pretty good time. We went to Flowell Friday night and then got up Saturday and headed on up the road. Saturday morning first thing we stopped at the mall and did a little shopping. Then it was onto the University of Utah Hospital to visit Landon's Dad. He has been in the Hospital for awhile and is not doing very well. After that visit we met up with all of the cousins for some ice-skating at Station Park. The rink was a little smaller than we expected but the kids made the best of it and still had fun. Especially Chloe who by the time we left was practicing her pirouettes and arabesques-love that spunky little girl!

After ice-skating we all met up at Chili's for Dinner and then went to Landon's sister Shawna's house to spend the night. The kids had fun with their cousins. Although, at times, Taylee and Bryce weren't so sure of each other and several baby fights broke out.
Sunday we went to Emery's Baby Blessing and then had a little luncheon with the fam. Then it was back on the road again and onto home sweet home. It was a long weekend but we had a good time. It is always nice to spend time with family.
