Catcher

Well the baseball season is in full swing. No pun intended :) Tanner is playing little league, super league (which is kind of like another version of little league), along with having a tournament at least once a month. What this means for us- baseball games on Tuesday and Thursday nights and two games every Saturday. If he has a tournament there are two games on Friday as well. They don't really have much time to practice, but sometimes they will try to throw one in on Friday. Also Landon and him our usually out in the garage on off nights working on stuff. Wow! That seems pretty intense right. Good thing he loves it, and we love watching him. He has become the main catcher for his little league team and is really liking this new position. Catcher is a hard position, but he is getting the hang of it. His coach is awesome though and really likes Tanner. He encourages him, even when he is having an off day.

Gymnastics Review

Chloe had her yearly gymnastics review. She has grown so much this past year. We have decided to keep her where she is at for one more year and then we will have to move her to a bigger gym, as her coaches say they won't really be able to give her what she needs to progress after one more year. She has learned lots of new skills and is so proud that she has her right splits all the way down and her middles are getting close. Her favorite new thing is the vault.

Long Jump

Tanner took 2nd place in long jump at the Hershey's track meet. This means that he will be going to the district track meet in a few weeks to compete. We are proud of him, this is the 2nd year in a row he has qualified for the district meet. Landon claims he gets his jumping skills from him, but I quickly had to remind him of who actually did the long jump, high jump, and hurdles in highschool-LOL!

Gross but True

So last week Beckett ate my wedding ring, yep swallowed the thing whole. Anyways I had pretty much given up on ever getting it back, but guess what we have it back, so you figure out the rest. Needless to say I haven't worn it again yet and I will be taking it in to be professionally cleaned before I do so. Talk about a diamond in the rough.

Tournament

Easter Weekend Tanner's Gators team had a tournament. His team did an awesome job. They won 3 of their first 4 games and so they made it to the playoffs onf Saturday. They ended up losing the game that would determine if they were in the championship game by 1 point. The sad thing is the team they lost to ended up wining the championship and they won the team they played by like 7. The boys did a great job and have come so far since the team was first started up about a year ago. How do you like that eye black? Tanner got drilled super hard with a fast ball right in the base of his neck while up to bat in the first game. It took him a few minutes to be able to get on the base. I wanted to take him out of the game, but they said if he came out he couldn't hit again. So he tuffed it out.

Good looking group of boys.
Chloe enjoying some pineapple on a stick. It is so good, and one of our favorite treats!

Last Weekend

Over the weekend we went to Flowell. Most of Landon's family was there so it ended up being a fun little get together. The kids always have a blast with their cousins and they didn't let the fact that it was freezing cold, windy, and snowy slow them down one bit. On Saturday a group of us went over to Delta for Dakoda's Birthday Party. It was at the roller rink-a first for all the kids. They all had fun. Chloe was zipping around the rink at mock 10 by the time we were ready to go home. Now she keeps telling me that she wants to have her birthday party at the Roller Rink. Bad news is there's not one in St. George-but I think there might be in Mesquite. After skating Tanner and I went to see the Hunger Games we have both been wanting to see it since it came out a few weeks ago. It was really good, probably one of the best movies I have seen in a long time, and it was fun having some time with my boy. I don't get to hang out with him one on one very often, so it was good for both of us.

We had a fun weekend. On the way home Chloe kept saying that she wished we could have stayed at Grandma Wendy's :)
