GWA Fall Carnival 2015

Time for the annual GWA Fall Carnival. Sticking with tradition Chloe and Brydee made cakes. Brydee's won a first place prize. Hers is a witch who crashed. Chloe's is Frankenstein and I think it should have won a prize too, but they only give out so many prizes-maybe next year. The girls really do most of the decorating themselves though we do help a little bit here and there.
I was working the entire carnival with PTO Treasurer responsibilities, but Landon was able to come and take Chloe and Bryce around. They were the first ones in line for the "Hamster Balls" probably the highlight of the day. That and maybe the "cake walk" for some reason they love that one too. Since Chloe is on student council she got to help in the haunted hallway for part of the time.
Always time for a photo booth op...
We love the Fall Carnival it has become a great tradition and look forward to it every year. This year certainly did not disappoint.

Movie Night Under The Stars Take 2

We had another outdoor movie night. This time we watched Hotel Transylvania. The kids had so much fun. Bryce loved the popcorn for days to follow. We will definitely make this a tradition for years to come.

Helper

Every time we fuel up Bryce wants to help. His way of helping is by "washing" my car, so if you ever notice streaks or spots on it now you know why. #mylittlehelper

Storm Buddies

Beckett and Bryce were both cuddled up in Chloe's lap cause there was a big thunder storm going on outside.

General Conference

A few weeks ago we had General Conference. I wish I would have prepared a little bit more in advance, but all in all it went well. I had some treats for the older kids and a couple of activities for Bryce and Chloe. Really we were able to sit down and listen to quite a bit both days and actually be able to hear what was said (which doesn't usually happen since we are normally with a bunch of extended family). I am so glad that we have prophets and apostles to give us counsel and guidance in these crazy and troubled times. It was an uplifting couple of days.

Soccer Saturday x2

Last Saturday Chloe had 2 soccer games. I didn't get any pictures. But she played great both games. One of the other parents at the game asked me if we had been feeding Chloe a lot or red meat lately?-haha! They said they have been so impressed with how much she has grown and improved in the last year. They have noticed that the last few months she has just kind of came into her own and is rocking it. They can't believe how aggressive and strong she has gotten-hence the red meat-joke. LOL. It's always nice to hear things like that. Probably the best part about the whole day though was the Great Grandma was back in town for a few days, so she was able to go to the second game with us. :)

I want to be a Fire Engine

Last week Landon took Bryce to a Cub Scouts Pack meeting with him, where they visited the fire station. Bryce loved it. The next day we were in Landon's truck and he saw his vest and hard hat and said "Mom, I want to be a fire engine". It took me a minute to realize he meant a fireman. Fire-Engine/Fire-Man same diff-haha!

Halloween Decor

Bryce has been so excited for Halloween. One of his favorite things to do right now is walk through the stores and look at decorations and costumes. So we decided for family night last week that we would do some decorating. Bryce and Chloe were both super excited...Tanner participated even though he was a little bit appalled that it was a few days before October and we were decorating for Halloween. For a project we made this fun zombie pallet.
We love Fall Time and Halloween!!!

Soccer Saturday Sept. 26

Last weekend Chloe had a soccer game in Cedar City. She went for the pony hawk look.

Her team won. WOOT! WOOT! Still undefeated. Chloe had two goals and a couple of passes that resulted in goals. It was a fun game to watch.

A little worn out after playing so hard.
She is usually starving after a game. We decided to go to Pizza Factory before heading home. When we got there she said can I have pizza, salad, breadsticks, and pasta-haha! We got everything but the pasta and of course some cookie dough for dessert.

We love our funny, crazy, energetic girl.

Cheetos

Bryce loves Cheetos. I do not love the orange Cheeto Mess. He had the perfect solution...just let Beckett take care of it. HAHA

National Addiction Recovery Day

Chloe's bff Brydee's Dad has been struggling for years. He has been really sick, and hasn't worked for pretty much as long as we have known them 8 or 9 years. Finally his family came to grips with the fact that his problem was prescription drug addiction. Which the doctors have been giving him for years. Last month they put him in a rehab center which he will be in for about 4 months. Hopefully, this will be the start of good things for the family-as it has really affected them all. He really is a good guy with a good heart and by helping himself this way it will hopefully help his whole family. Last week they invited us to the National Addiction Recovery Day Celebration they were holding in the park. There was free food and a bounce house and games for the kids. A lot of the booths were run by people currently in the rehab centers in town, including Brydee's Dad. Bryce liked it all. Especially the free cotton candy and animal balloons.

Sophomore Picture

Yesterday I got Tanner's Sophomore Class Picture in the mail. Overall I like it; even though the smile is a little fake. I can't believe he is already a sophomore! Time flies!!!

Ward Party

Monday night we went to our ward party/social. It was a "fiesta" theme with really good fiesta lime chicken for dinner and a piñata for the kids. It was held at the Washington City Rec Center. The kids were glad to get one more swimming day in before summer was officially over.

Weekend News: Yardsale, Baseball, Birthday Party

Chloe and Brydee are always looking for ways to earn a little bit of money. They have been wanting to get some pigs to raise. So they decided to have a yard sale. They collected items from parents, grandparents, and aunts. They sorted, priced, and advertised. Finally the day of the big sale was here.
There hard work paid off. They made $228. That is amazing considering the most expensive thing they sold was $5. They had a lot of stuff and they sold a lot. Good work girls.

While I was helping the girls at the yard sale. Tanner and Landon were off on their own adventures. First, they went to a little bit of The Utah Against Pornography Coalition presentation. Then, it was time for a little baseball. Tanner had a scrimmage game. He played second base the whole game. He did a good job. His team ended up losing by a couple of points though-too bad.

On Sunday the kids and I left church after Sunday School to go to a surprise birthday party for my aunt Shelly. We are trying to go to more things with that side of my family. At times it is a little uncomfortable but it is getting better and the kids are feeling more comfortable around most of the people. (I love Bryce in this picture)
