Hershey Track Meet

Last week Chloe participated in the Hershey Track Meet. She was pretty excited. I was able to go and spend the morning with her and watch her events. She did the 100 M, 200 M, and softball throw.
They only announce the top 4 places, top 3 get ribbons, and the top 2 go onto regionals. They do not do finals on the races they just take the top by time or distance.
Chloe took 3rd overall in the softball throw. She threw 64 feet.

She also took 3rd overall in the 200 Meter Dash. She was third in her heat in this race too, so her heat was fast they took 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.

In the 100 M dash she didn't place in the top 4 so we don't know how she did overall, but she did win her heat.

I wish they would have posted the times because in track and swimming races are so close and sometimes you win or lose by a second or millisecond. It would have been fun to see, but alas they didn't share that info with us.

Baseball and Softball Games #5

Softball Highlights-Chloe pitched a great game and also hit really good hits out to the grass on both of her at bats. One time she hit it almost to the fence but it ended up being a foul ball. Plus isn't she just the cutest little girl!

Baseball Highlights-Well its been a long time coming, but it finally happened. Tanner got the hit of a life time. I was in the car with the baby and I knew he was up to bat, but I wasn't paying much attention. Then I heard the hard crack of the ball off the bat and looked out to see the ball going going going almost gone! If we would have been playing on the field we had the tournament on over the weekend it would have been an out of the park home run. At the field this game was on it was a long shot to left left field and he was able to get a double out of it. I got out of the car a few minutes later and walked over to Landon, he couldn't stop smiling-ha-ha. He was like where did that come from?! The sad news is that a few minutes later Tanner got out trying to steal home-oh well the hit was worth it and his team did end up winning after coming back from a long ways from behind.

Last Soccer Games of Spring Season

A couple of weekends ago Chloe had her last soccer games of the spring season. She played a double header on Saturday morning. One game at 9 and the next at 10. It required a lot of effort and energy to run for that long, but her team did great and they managed to pull of two wins. Chloe scored a goal in each game as well as pulling of a few headers (her new signature move). I really wanted to get an action shot of her doing this but I wasn't able to pull it off. It was a fun season and I'm sure it won't be long until she is asking when it is time to play soccer again. She loves it!!!

Tournament

Tanner had a tournament. Overall his team as a whole did really well. They went 3-1. Tanner got a couple of good hits and was working on being more aggressive at the plate, which I think his coach was happy with. He still needs to improve in his hitting though-it is his weak spot. He played left field the whole time and hardly anything even came his way-so I can't say there are any highlights to brag about in that aspect. Maybe next time.
Bryce was just happy to be at the field and Chloe enjoyed watching from her view atop the trees. After the last game we all went out for some ice-cream.

Baseball/Little League Games #4

Softball
highlights-no highlights Chloe was really sick with the stomach flu during her game this week and so was most of the rest of the family :( she was so sad to miss it. We heard word through the grapevine though that the other team had a really good pitcher and Chloe's coach said to the girls in the dugout I wish Chloe was here so we could show them how good she is :)

Baseball
highlights-Just look at the pictures of Tanner's game could you really ask for a better view baseball field all lit up, with the temple framed in the background. Tanner pitched for most of the game and did a pretty good job. He also got a nice hit up the middle his last up to bat. The whole family besides Tanner was very sick with the stomach flu so we all sat in the car and watched his game.

Birthday Bucket

Chloe gave Landon this bucket for his birthday, he has requested one. Bryce thought it was the greatest thing and wanted to play with it and drag it around the house with him. Then Landon put him in it and that was even better. He had the time of his life and threw the biggest tantrum when Landon took him out. We had to take the bucket outside and hide it after that.

Mr. B

He is always keeping our life interesting and brings so much joy into it.
He got a hold of a marker and drew himself a mustache ;)
Watching the Redsox game with Daddy...
 Helping Daddy make waffles...
 Napping with Daddy...
 Posing for a picture....
Um so can you tell he is kind of a Daddy's boy!

Teacher Appreciation Week-SUPER HERO THEME

Last week was Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week at George Washington Academy. I was in charge once again-haha-it was my fifth year being in charge, it is a joke among the staff that I will always be in charge and can't ever stop doing it. Really though in all reality I love planning it-this is my event-I don't want to turn it over to anyone else at least not yet.
Anyways we went with a super hero theme. I was so glad to have my sister in law on board cause I could come up with an idea and send it to her and she could bring it to life with her digital designs. I also had tons of people on my committee who just did such a great job getting donations, making phone calls, putting together handouts, decorating doors, bringing in treats for the staff, and much much more. We couldn't have done it without them. I think it turned out really great and the staff all expressed just how much they enjoyed it. Here are some of the things we did during the week.
Letter that was sent to the students...
Invitation that we sent out and hung up at the school for the staff members...
Our daily handouts went with the theme as well...
Monday's Handout-superhero sucker...

 Tuesday-super power drops
Wednesday-was a super charged energy source (aka-Swig Gift Card)
 Thursday-secret identity bars
Friday-we printed and framed them each one of these...
For the staff members that aren't actually teachers is said..."not all superheros wear capes"
We also did a contest and chose several winners each day. I made short and fun super hero themed slide for each day to announce the contest winners. The students and teachers thought it was great.
Everyone who entered the contest got one of these-the had a gift card to SMASH BURGER with them
Some of the decor...Landon made this sign for me.
One of the parent volunteers decorated the teachers lounge and principals doors in correspondence with the theme-it was awesome....

On Friday we served all the staff a "SouPER-LUNCH" (soup, salad, and bread-sticks)
The week was fun, it turned out great, but really glad to have it over and be able to kick my feet up-oh wait I'm a Mom I guess that won't be happening. It was especially hard cause my whole family was hit with the flu starting Sunday night, so especially the first part of the week was kind of rough, but we pulled it off :)
Thank you everyone who helped and especially thank you Brenda for all of my last minute-wait just one more thing texts that I sent to you.

Girls Weekend

A few weeks ago I went down to Vegas with Landon's sisters and our niece Kylie, for a girls weekend getaway. I hadn't ever left Bryce over night before but I knew he was in good hands with his Daddy. We went down late late Thursday night and I came home Saturday. I thought we were all coming home Saturday but there had been a misunderstanding somewhere and they actually weren't coming home until Sunday. It wouldn't have worked for Landon to have B during meetings and sacrament so he and the kids came to the rescue and came down and picked me up Saturday afternoon.

It was a fun little get-away. We saw a few attractions and did some shopping at the outlet mall. On Saturday Morning we went to Siegfried and Roy's Secret Garden Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat. Chloe was so jealous when I sent her pictures of the dolphins.
I had fun, but was so glad to be back to Utah and the nice wholesome environment. Though Vegas has some fun things to do...there is just so much that goes against my standards going on there that it is a hard environment to be in for to long of a time.

New Toy

Last year at Costco I scored this awesome sand and water table for like $10. Bryce was pretty happy when I decided to pull it out the other day and let him play in the water. He didn't really want to share at first. Preslie wasn't to sure about the whole thing especially since B kept splashing cold water on her.
