Houston we have a Hamster Problem

So when Chloe's first got her hamster Landon would tell me horror stories of how when they were younger how their hamsters would always escape and be running around the house wildly. Chewing holes in things and such. I was positive that would never happen to us since we have a hard plastic cage impossible for a hamster to chew threw or escape from or so I thought. Apparently the last time Chloe got the hamster out she didn't shut the door tight on the top of the cage so the hamster was able to push it open and escape.
I didn't realize this until this morning I took the neighbor boy in to let him feed the hamster and guess what there was no hamster to feed. Yeah I freaked out just a little bit. I called Landon to tell him the story and he mentioned that Licorice had been barking wildly by the pantry this morning and I might want to investigate. So I opened the pantry and there sat the hamster, happy as could be, luckily it didn't run from me but just let me scoop it right up and deposit it back in it's cage. I made sure the door was shut tightly this time. LOL

Gymnast

Chloe is our little Gymnast. We have known that that was her calling in life since before she was one year old. She was not a happy baby until she was mobile and she walked way before she was one. At one her greatest feet was scaling to the top of the fridge, she was sitting up there smiling when I walked in the kitchen. She has never stopped moving since, my dad says she has ants in her pants. She has been to the ER three different times for stitches or staples to prove it.

Gymnastics is definitely her calling in life. Yesterday they had there end of season program, I wasn't able to make it because I had a final, but Landon did get a few picts.

Pitching Videos

Here are a couple of videos I took of Tanner pitching in Monday's game.

They had him pitch the whole game and they ended up winning. They played 5 innings and of the 15 outs he got 13 of them. 12 strikeouts and 1 put-out at first. He was also hitting pretty good but to bad the other team had good fielders because they caught 2 of 3 of his hits.

Easter Weekend

Tae and her mom came over Friday to dye Easter Eggs.

In between that and getting ready to leave for Flowell I had to run Tanner in for some emergency dental work, one of his baby teeth had gotten infected and was causing him quite a bit of pain, so they had to pull it out and put him on an antibiotic.-Poor Kid

We finally made it to Flowell. The kids were so excited to see all of their cousins and for Easter. Tanner was probably more excited than anyone since he had been looking at the Easter Bunny's Ebay Page-LOL.

Looks like the Easter Bunny Found Us
Once all the cousins woke up it was time for the Easter Egg Hunt-I think there were right around 120 eggs that were hidden minus any the two dogs might have gotten ahold of before hand. (Thank goodness for Easter Bunnies in training-Kylie and Tanner- to take care of this task.)

We went to the sand hills for our traditional Easter picnic lunch. The kids had a blast!

The kids love going to Flowell simply for the fact that whenever they go they have all of their cousins to play with and can usually run around an play outside in the big yard. Grandpa and Grandma got a new tramp and the kids spent tons of time on it. Chloe was super happy for a place she could practice her back hand springs while Tanner was happy as long as someone would play catch with him. Just be careful if your around them though you might want to wear a helmet I took a fastball right to the back of the head and it didn't feel to good.

He can throw and RUN!

Today was the Hershey Track Meet at George Washington Academy. Tanner had three events he competed in the long jump, 100 m dash, and 400 m dash. He ended up taking 2nd overall in the 400 m dash, which means he gets to go to the district track meet in a few weeks to represent his school.
One more athletic event to add to our calendars.

I'm not sure weather to attribute his athletic genes to the Marshall side or the Ellison side they both have some pretty impressive stuff in their histories.

Sleeping

When Chloe is sleeping I love to look a the cute little freckles sprinkled across her nose. She is such a little cutie-especially when she is sleeping :) :) ;)

Another Great Baseball Story

I know I have been doing a ton of bragging on here lately about Tanner and his baseball, but he is just doing so good that it's hard not to. SO here is another great story for you.

On Monday Tanner's team was playing the top team in the league. A team that is undefeated and used to just slaughtering anyone they play. So the coach decided to pull out all the stops-which meant have Tanner pitch every pitch he could legally throw in one week and not save any for Wednesday night. Well here is the amazing part Tanner pitched for 4 innings straight and with a little bit of backing up from the outfield held this team at 6 points. That is amazing. He also got a triple in the first inning. The fifth inning started and Tanner only threw a couple pitches and they had to pull him out. When he left the game the score was 3-6 and the other team was not happy. Now here is the sad part after the other pitcher came in the score changed from 3-6 to 3-14. Tanner's team did have last bats so they got a few more runs but they ended up losing 5-14. However... the other coach came up to Tanner and said buddy that is the best anyone has pitched to us all year-and he really meant it. Also the umpire came over to Tanner and said that is the best team in the league and you held them to six runs for 4 innings-wow that's pretty impressive. So although his team lost-Tanner impressed some people.

In fact the next day Landon got a phone call. He called me and said jokingly I just got the first scout offer for Tanner-me not being a huge baseball buff was like "oh for what" thinking to myself a call for a boy scout project. LOL. Anyways he's like a baseball scout silly. Apparently the league commissioner who was also the coach of the other team was impressed enough with Tanner that he wanted to recruit him to pitch for the traveling team he was putting together. We told him Tanner was already on a traveling theam but we'd have to think about it. I still don't think Landon has come down off the clouds. :)

Happy Birthday Dad!

Yesterday was my Dad's 50th Birthday.

He was a little bit embarrassed by the poster and black balloons hanging up on his Bronco that greeted him when he arrived home from visiting my sister in Fillmore. Ha

We had a nice get together with everyone but Mandy's family.

He is a great dad and an even better Grandpa. The kids love him so much. I had to buy him Oreos for his birthday because Chloe told me that she had seen an Oreo commercial with Grandpa and he told her that he wanted some of those for his Birthday. LOL

Happy Birthday Dad and Grandpa. We Love You!

Another Weekend

Another weekend for us and you know what that means. More ball games.

Sorry if your getting sick of these post but this is our lives for the next few months and to be honest I really love to watch my kids play sports and do well in something they doing.

Chloe's team won their game again. They are undefeated so far. Chloe made another goal and while she was the goalie nothing got past her. She had quite the cheering section Great Grandma, Aunt Sandi, Aunt Tiffanie, Taelor, Tanner and Mom and Dad.

Tanner's team lost their first game but won the second. Tanner had some pretty sweet hits during the games. Must have something to do with the bats. LOL The funny thing is about half of Tanner's team uses one of his bats to hit with.

Night at the Diamonds

Getting Ready

Strike Your Out!

Every time Tanner pitches coaches from the other teams complement him and tell Landon what a talented pitcher they have on their team.

Chloe loves spending nights at the ball fields, she takes her scooter and rides it around for hours. She has lots of little friends she has made that are there every night as well so they have a great time.#1 Coach and very Proud Dad

He Saved the Game!

Last night I wasn't able to make it to Tanner's baseball game, but apparently I should have been there because he had a pretty awesome night. In fact he saved them game. Here is the story... the score was 16 to 15 with his team up by 1 point. The other team had last bats and they were up. Tanner hadn't pitched all night but the coach put him in to pitch the last inning. The first batter his a ball right back at Tanner and Tanner threw it to first to get the out. Then he struck the next two batters out. 3 up 3 down. He held his team's one point lead. He was the hero of the night :)

Soccer and Baseball

Yesterday we spent all day at the ball park. We were seriously there from about 10:00 in the morning until 9:00 at night. Though we did have a break at one point for a few hours. Chloe had a soccer game and Tanner had a baseball tournament.

Chloe's team won their soccer game 7-1. Chloe scored the last goal with seconds to go. She also took a turn being the goalie and nothing got by her.

Tanner's team had an awesome day! They won all three of their games including the championship game. They all played really well. Tanner had some great hits along with some awesome base running. He did his job when he was in the outfield and didn't make any mistakes while he was out there.
