Soccer, Volleyball, and Baseball-oh my

Well we had another marathon weekend. We started off with Baseball games in Mesquite on Friday. Chloe, Bryce, my Grandma Marshall, and I traveled down there to watch Tanner.
Saturday Landon's Mom came to town bringing cousins with her. Landon took Jack with him and Tanner back down to Mesquite for more baseball. Tanner did okay in this tournament-he didn't have any great hits or plays though he didn't have any errors either it was just a ho-hum type weekend I guess. His team didn't do well at all they went 1-3.

Meanwhile in St. George Chloe started off the day with her first ever volleyball game. We didn't even know that it was starting up until we got a phone call about 6:00 Friday night-haha. I think she did okay for never having a practice or anything like that. She got a couple of points from serving and several more by hitting the ball back over the net.
Then home for a quick snack and off to soccer. Chloe's team was on fire. They won 10-3. Chloe had three goals and several assists. The girls really have learned to work well together and to play their positions. Chloe was being a dynamite player-she had to show Grandma Wendy her moves. Her coach jokingly said maybe Grandma should come every week-lol.
After all the games were over the kids had some time to play with their cousins. They had so much fun and didn't want it to end. Chloe was begging to please just go home with Grandma for 1 week and we had a hard time prying the boys away from Tanner and getting them into Grandma's car. Cousin visits are the best!

39 weeks old

39 weeks old and happy to have his big-bro home to spend part of the day with him. He is now pulling himself to stand next to anything he can grab hold of. He also has begun to cruise around the furniture. Look out world-he will be walking before we know it. He does the sign for milk quite well now and we all know what he is wanting when he does it. Sometimes we have to fight him to get him to sleep cause he doesn't like to miss out on anything. He can also throw a pretty good tantrum if you take something away from him.

Sunday Morning

A few pictures from before church last Sunday...just to cute not to snap a few pictures...and I wanted a picture of Tanner and Bryce in their matching ties.

Deer Hunt

Landon drew out for the deer hunt and decided that this year we would make it a family event. We borrowed my Dad's Bronco and we all loaded up bright and early Saturday morning and headed out. First thing that morning the boys and I stayed in the warmth of the vehicle and took a little nap while Chloe and Landon hiked a few miles in. They saw several herds of deer and even a few small ones, but Landon couldn't bring himself to shoot anything. After that we did some driving around and some more hiking as a family. We didn't see anything else but we had fun spending time together. Bryce probably would have scared the deer away anyways because at times he was laughing his head off at his brother and sister's antics. The kids enjoyed being able to ride in the back of the Bronco as we drove around the hills eating snacks and watching movies-lol. It was a fun day, despite being unsuccessful at getting a deer.

I love this picture of Landon and the kids...I feel like it should be on a Christmas card or something :)

38 weeks old

He is such a cutie. It is hard to resist kissing him to much-lol. He finally has 4 teeth now and thank heavens for that-cause he was a little fussy until the last one finally broke through. He loves to eat whatever you will give him a little piece of and he does a pretty good job of chewing. His new favorite thing to get into is Beckett's food and water-I have had to take several pieces of dog food out of his mouth as well as change his clothes after he gets all wet from splashing in the dog dish. He is definitely fully mobile and we have our hands full keeping him out of trouble. We wouldn't want it any other way though.

Twister and Bejeweled House Party

I won another House Party. It was a "Girls Night Out" featuring Twister and Bejeweled. We invited a few of Chloe's friends over and her cousin Taelor. We had fun getting ready for it.
My sister Tiffanie helped me make these "Bejeweled" sugar cookies.
We put together some favor bags...
Chloe and Taelor made this cute sign and decorated it and my front door with jewels-lol.
The party animals...

Everybody do the twist-Tanner decided to get in on the action.
I think the kids had fun. We played some games and stuff for the first hour and then after that they just ran around being silly and having fun.

Young Men's and Activity Days

Last Tuesday the young women and young men went to Staheli Farms for their activity. Since Landon is over the youth he usually accompanies them to their activities. He took Chloe along for fun. The kids both had a good time. As soon as they got home Chloe crawled into bed and was out :)

Then on Wednesday if was Activity Days. I have been a leader for about a year now and I really like it. It is a fun calling and Chloe likes having me there. A few weeks ago each girl made a pumpkin shirt. They all wore them this week and we did some Halloween baking. The girls had a great time.
spiders, ghost, bats, and witch hats...

Salsa

Every year I get together with my Grandma Marshall and we make and bottle salsa. Salsa is a staple at our house...we love it!!! This year my sister Sandi joined in on the fun. We made two different batches. One of them we tried a new recipe on and it turned out to be a sweet salsa. The other batch I think is the best we have made in years and it is spicy just like we like it.
While we bottled Bryce spent some time driving the car around.
Doesn't he look like he should be a model for Little Tykes?

Carving Pumpkins at Grandpas

My Dad brought the kids back some big pumpkins from up north somewhere...and him and Kathy invited everyone over for a pumpkin carving and treats for Family Night. We don't see them very much so the kids are usually pretty excited when we get to.
Bryce checking out the insides of the pumpkin...
Taelor was so happy to pull out all of the guts...
Brandon thought up the great idea to use a drill for the carving...
 Chloe taking a turn...
Our visit was short but I think the kids enjoyed it.

Saturday Re-Cap

Saturday was another busy busy day, but what's new right? So first thing was a baptism at 10:00. Chloe and her friend Brydee had been asked to sing a duet at it. They sang "When I am Baptized". They did such a great job. There was a full house too, almost the whole chapel filled, so I am sure they were a little bit nervous.
After that it was home for a quick change of clothes and then onto Chloe's soccer game. Her team pulled off a win again 6-4. Chloe didn't get a break the whole game she played the entire time, so by the end when she was playing offense she was pretty burnt out, but she did manage to sneak a goal in right at the end. The first half she played defense and totally rocked it. The other team didn't score a goal the whole first half of the game because they couldn't get past her ;)
After the soccer game the kids and I went out to the Annual Fall Carnival at George Washington Academy. Landon stayed home and took a much needed break (he has been working like 60+ hours every week for the past few months). I don't know how much he really rested though cause when I came home he had almost cleaned the whole house. The Fall Carnival is one of the kids favorite traditions we have been going every year ever since they started doing it. One of the things that is always fun is for the kids to make a cake for the cake walk. Chloe and Brydee made these ones to enter...
They made them almost all by themselves with minimal help from me. The kids both met up with some of their friends there and had a great time running around with them. We stayed until about 4.
Finally, it was off for home to relax the rest of the night with dinner and a redbox. Our lives are definitely busy but we wouldn't have it any other way.
