Haircut and Concerns

Last Saturday I took Bryce to get a haircut and while we were waiting he fell asleep.
Typical Bryce.
He can fall asleep anywhere. We have the countless pictures to prove it, but lately the more I've thought about it the more concerned I have become for several reasons. One is that now a lot of the times he will say he is feeling sick and then two seconds later he's out cold. It's like his body just starts to feel sick and he has to sleep, but I think it's all connected somehow to his eating habits. He doesn't eat well-hence the therapy. Sometimes he skips meals even though we try. I don't think his body is getting the nutrition it needs and it affects him. Landon and I both worry just a little bit, hopefully he can start to improve and eat more.
 Finished Product.
He looked so cute, but was kind of grumpy from being woke up from his nap, so I didn't get a great picture.

0 Miles to Go

Running on Empty in more than one way around here lately.
I guess it's time to refuel. O miles to go!!!

Paddle-board Yoga

Last night I tried something new with one of my friends from work (Kelsie) -Paddle-Board Yoga. I normally don't take classes but I really wanted to try this one. I thought I would fall off for sure, but surprisingly I didn't and neither did anyone else. It was a great ab workout and super relaxing as well. Something I would probably do again. I just wish it wasn't at 8:00 at night.

T Ball (Week 3)

Bryce had his 3rd t-ball game. We were NOT LATE! Bryce was happy to be going even though it was freezing cold-ah the joys of baseball season. He didn't complain once about being cold though. When Chloe played t-ball she cried almost every week because of the cold-HA!
I have such cute pictures of Tanner and Chloe both looking at me through the fence, but so far I haven't been able to get one of Bryce.

My Mom was able to come to his game and she brought Breckon along as well. Fun night at the ball fields.

Caught in a RainStorm

The other night Landon, Bryce and I went shopping to Costco. It wasn't raining when we walked in, but as we walked out the doors it was like a monsoon out there. We didn't have any other choice, but to make a run for it. Bryce was laughing hysterically. We got in the car and I was soaked to the bone and cold and not happy at all, but Bryce was so happy about it. He thought it was so funny and wasn't complaining at all about being wet or cold. So even though I was a little miserable on the drive home his joy in the situation made up for it. That's a lot like life I think-we never know how we act or what we say that might make someone's day better. #bepositive #BryceEE
For the record we all had to change into dry clothes when we got home. We were that wet. HA!

T-Ball (Week 2)

We thought we were doing good getting to Bryce's t-ball game 20 minutes early and walked up the hill to the field and there was his team already playing. What? Apparently there had been a scheduling change that we missed. It was definitely our fault because the coach had given us a schedule, which we didn't know was the updated one, we had already put in the one the league sent out, not realizing that changes were made to it later, so we didn't even really look at the one the coaches gave us cause we already had the other one programmed into our phones-oops.
He played for the last few minutes of the game. Landon and I felt horrible, but Bryce was happy because he got a snow cone.

We all love Brian Regan-a comedian-and he has a joke about baseball games that we think is hilarious and really fit the situation.
'Even if you play half game you still get a whole snow cone at the end of the game, so I'd rather play half game." #BrianRegan

Ward Luau

Landon was asked to be in charge of the ward social, of course I helped him and so did the kids, so it kind of turned into a family event. We wanted to do something fun and a little different than the normal bbq with hamburgers and hot dogs-we decided to host a Luau.
We made tiki guys and bought tiki torches for decorations. We bought leis to hand out to everyone as they came. We found a great local Hawaiian place-Island Grinds-and had most of the food catered. We provided entertainment for the young and old in the form of a limbo game, and we handed out a few prizes for the Limbo and best dressed. It all turned out great! The atmosphere, the food, and the company. I think everyone had a good time.

Now onto the planning of the next event, since I am in charge of Chloe's 8th grade graduation ;)

All-Star Team

Chloe made the all star team for basketball. At the time of the nominations we thought she would be able to go to the game as well as play in her softball tournament. That didn't end out working out, so she ended up missing the all star game.

We are still proud of her for making it though.

Happy 40th

Landon turned 40. We didn't do anything to big. We had cake and went out to dinner. I couldn't resist getting him these 40 balloons with a little something to help with any possible mid life crisis that might come up-LOL...

Apparently a co worker couldn't either and she made him these awesome star wars balloons that said welcome to the dark side-40-HA!

The Text I Needed to Receive

A lot of times after I order my groceries online I send Tanner to pick them up. The last time after he did I received this text from the people at Lins...
it came at a time when I really needed it.
Thank You
I needed to hear that and remind myself. He really is a good kid.
Thank You Tanner-Love You

St. George Red Rock Classic (Softball)

Chloe played in a Softball Tournament, the St. George Red Rock Classic, with her new team-Summit. It was there first tournament playing together and although they all made some errors they did okay. I felt like they were really coming together as a team and I think that's in part because their coach really focuses on team building activities, which is great for a team. They ended up losing 4 and winning 2. Chloe played a lot of outfield, and also catcher for a couple of the games. She batted 2nd. She made some great catches. She did miss a few-one that she lost in the sun, and the other that she miss judged where it was, but none of them got behind her. Afterwards her coach told her that when she was in the outfield she didn't worry about whether or not the ball was going to be caught. 6 games made for a long couple of days at the ball fields, but it was fun. Bryce was so good through it all and didn't whine or cry one time. He pretty much kept himself entertained as long as we provided a snow cone or bag of chips periodically.

In one game Chloe played against her best friend from school. Chloe's team ended up winning, but I don't think there were any hard feelings between the two of them.

T-Ball (week 1)

Bryce had his first t-ball game.

He was so excited at practice the week before to get his new Jersey. He is on the Padres again.
However he was even more excited that they had a treat schedule and he was the first one on the list to buy treats. (last year the treats were his favorite thing about playing-ha) He actually insisted on going right after practice to get them. I wasn't feeling like it, but luckily his older brother came through for him.

Off to the ball game-treats in tow. Isn't his little bat bag so cute?

Bryce did really well in his game. His first at bat he ended up hitting off the t. His second at bat he got a good hit. He ran the bases and ran fast (last year he struggled a bit with this). He didn't really run after the balls in the outfield, but that's okay. I think he's still warming up a little bit-hopefully by the end of the season he will be running after them with the rest of the kids.
*side note new t-ball rules don't allow any players in the infield, so all the kids play on the edge of the grass. It's kind of weird, but somebody must have gotten hurt. I mean some of these kids can hit pretty hard, and they probably don't have the reflexes at this age to always react to a fast ball.
