Look Mom No Training Wheels!

I just had to show this. Chloe convinced Landon to take her training wheels off her bike a couple a weeks ago and so here are the results. He took them and we didn't really think much of it. We haven't really been working with her on it, but today she came in the house and said Mommy come watch this, and she just took off down the street. I could not believe my eyes!

Welcome Home Cody

My brother-in-law Cody finally made it home Yesterday after being gone for a year serving in Iraq. I just wanted to Say Welcom Home to him, and let him now how glad we all are that he is home safe, and back with his family. I know that they are all so happy to have you home. It has been a long year without you and I don't know how Mandy has done it, but she has. Enjoy the kids and Mandy for the next couple of weeks before you have to get back to work.

Thanks for protecting our Freedom!

Campout at Red Cliffs

We went of or annual Ellison Family Memorial Day Campout last weekend. This time we went to Red Cliffs campground by Leeds. The above picture was taken under one of the arches on Sunday when we went on a hike.
Listed from left to right: (Jeff, Grandma (Wendy), Tia, Shawna, Jack, Jeremy, Dustin, Taryn, Landon, Licorice) On the rock: (Chloe, Makele, Tanner, Kylie).
Not Listed Brenda-who was taking the picture and Grandpa-who was back at camp.

This camping trip was one of the better ones for the Ellison clan with no mishaps so to speak of, such as getting stranded on an island, being caught in a severe lightning/rainstorm, or losing any of the children.
The kids especially had fun they ran and played from sunup to sundown everyday. They were always ready for another hike, and they loved climbing on the rocks and playing in a hole in the cliffs that was right by our campsite for hours a day. Tanner and Kylie would have even slept in that hole if we would have let them. When it was time to go home Chloe kept asking if we could please stay just one more day.

This picture was taken on the Anasazi trail it is a picture of the kids in a old Anasazi Pit. To bad these weren't available for use by the campsite. They would have made great playpens or cages for the kids.

Well I guess now it's time to do the laundry and rest up so we will be ready to do it all over again on the 4th of July Weekend.

Cute Catcher

Tanner had another baseball game tonight. He got to be the catcher for 2 out of 3 innings. He was so excited, we could hardly get him to take the gear off when he was done, and as soon as he was done batting he wanted to get the gear right back on.
He did really good as catcher, and he looked so cute in his gear.

Today It Was Snow Boots

Chloe definiatly has a mind of her own, especially when it comes to dressing herself. Today she wore her snow boots with her capris and yes it is 100 degrees. I never know what she will decide to wear out of the house. In the last couple of weeks she has left in snowboots, a swim suit, a princess dress, a beanie, dress up high heels, her Christmas dress from Grandma Robison, her dance recital outfit, and every skirt she owns paired up with various shirts matching or not. I bet the babysitter just laughs every day when Chloe shows up.
I remeber when Tanner was little he did the same thing just not quite to the extent that Chloe does. He would always wear his Batman Halloween costume everywhere. When it wasn't even close to Halloween either. I also remember him leaving the house in spiderman snowboots.

$10 at a Yard Sale

The last couple of weeks I have been going to yard sales with my Grandma. I have found some great deals: a desk for Tanner's room, a dog house (which the cat took over), a basketball hoop for $10, but according to the kids the best find of all was this $10 blow up waterslide. I'm sure this will bring hours of enetertainment during the hot summer days. Probably hours of fighting off neighbor kids too.

Brown Belt

I came across this picture in my camera and thought I would share it. This is a picture of Tanner posing on the front lawn in his new brown belt. He just earned it a couple weeks ago. He is so excited and we are so proud of him. If he keeps it up he will be a black belt by the time he is 10.

Friday's At Our House

Fridays are usually play days for the kids. They either get to go to a friends house or have a friend come over. This was just another typical Friday. Tanner and his friends can usually be found in front of the computer or gamecube or outside playing basketball or wallball. Chloe's friend came over to swim today, while she was waiting for her she decided to take a dip with the dog.

Taelor Jayde

For those of you who don't know my sister Tiffanie had her baby last week on May 8 weighing in at 7lbs 12oz. They named her Taelor Jayde. The kids were so excited to get to see her and hold her. She is so cute with tons of curly hair.

The Begining

Okay so here I go. I decided it would be fun to have a blog page. If nothing else to give me something to do during the summer while I'm not working, so I don't go crazy just sitting at home.

We are off to Tanner's ball game in a few minutes so I'd better get ready and head out. I just wanted to get this set up while I was thinking about it.
Go Rays!
