Valentines

Chloe was kind of sad this year that she couldn't hand out Valentines to her classmates or make a fun Valentines box. Sometimes getting older is sad. She said she would rather hand out Valentines and have a class party than the dance her grade had instead. LOL I bet she won't feel that way much longer.

Bryce made up for it being in preschool and daycare both.
We gave sharpies to his teachers with a tag that said "you color my world".
His classmate got paw patrol Valentines that were attached to flipz pretzels (one of his favorite treats).
For the kids at his daycare he gave out hot wheels.
He was excited to get home afterwards and look at all the cards he received.

For Valentines Landon and I usually just exchange cards and then go to dinner somewhere. This year I made Landon a book instead of a card. It had the reasons I love you from A-Z inside. I think he kind of liked it :)
We went out to dinner at Red Lobster, there was a little bit of a wait, but we went kind of early so it wasn't horrible.
I had a peach lemonade with my meal and it was delicious.
The food was good too, and I was glad for leftovers to take for lunch the next day.
On the way home Landon stopped off to pick up the chocolate covered strawberries he had ordered for me. This is one of my favorite treats and traditions. He usually gets them for me every year. I'm pretty good about sharing a few with everyone.
We had a fun day together. I love Landon and my kids more than anything. I hope I show it everyday, but I'm glad Valentines gives me the opportunity to maybe show it just a little bit more.

My Addiction

I have to admit I have a slight addiction-its not candy or food or something like that it's-LEGGINGS. Seriously though, okay not just leggings, but a clothing line in general LULAROE. I love their shirts, skirts, dresses, and especially their leggings. They are so comfortable to wear and make me feel good when I wear them. It is a little bit pricey so even though it's an addiction I have to keep it in check, although I do follow several sellers and frequently browse through their inventory just to make sure there isn't something I can't live without.

Cotton Candy for Dinner

Last weekend Tanner and Landon went to Bryce Canyon for youth conference. Chloe, Bryce, and I decided to have a little bit of fun at home. I came down with a pretty horrible cold that weekend, so we kept it pretty low key. Also Chloe had a referee certification Friday night and most of Saturday, so we had to kind of plan around that.
Anyways Friday night we went to dinner at Golden Corral. We invited Great-Grandma and she came as well. I let the kids chose where we went and that is were they chose, because they wanted cotton candy!
Saturday night we went to the movies. We went to see the Lego Batman Movie. It was pretty funny and all Bryce wanted to do for days after was watch the movie trailers for it. Of course he got his mandatory movie theater cotton candy (they are addicted) and wanted a picture with it. ;)
It was fun sending time with these two crazies even though I was feeling pretty horrible,

Happy Birthday to Me

Last week I turned 35 years old-I'm halfway to 70 now-LOL. We didn't do anything to exciting, but the whole family did go out to dinner at Durangos. Tanner whipped me up a jello no bake cheesecake for desert and we had that instead of cake. It was delicious! I'm just glad I got to spend the day with my family and that I didn't have to cook dinner :)

Hair Do's

Bryce and I got haircuts. Chloe got some blond highlights added and a little trim. Bryce wanted his hair spiky so we went with the old faux hawk. He is so funny he makes sure throughout the day that it is still spiky-haha!

Quilt 23

Quilt #22 was the ninja turtle quilt Bryce got for his birthday. It was a joint effort between my Grandma and me. It seriously is so cute and also nice an cozy and warm. It is one of the nicest quilts I've made, and as you can tell from the pictures, it gets lots of good use and goes most everywhere with us.

I forgot to mention...

I think I forgot to mention that after having it out of commission and in the shop for about a month I finally have my car back and it is so nice. I truly am grateful that we each have our own vehicle to drive and how nice it is to have a nice reliable vehicle to drive around.

Enterprise Tournament

Last weekend we traveled to Enterprise for a basketball tournament. Chloe had three games and only 7 players from her teams normal 12 going, so that meant she played a lot. Two of the games she didn't sit out at all. The other game she sat out some but still played for over half of it. By the time they were all over her feet and legs hurt so bad, and they hurt her for days afterwards. She was 100% on her foul shots, and made several baskets in each game. Chloe's shot is really coming along and she is starting to make more shots and also being better about taking them. Her defense is getting better and better each game. I love watching her play...basketball is my favorite-probably because I played it when I was younger.
Bryce is a good sport as he is dragged around to tournaments and ball games as long as we have the proper supplies and lots of snacks.

We had a couple of hours to waste between the first game and the second and third, so we hit up the local diner. Bryce loved his "pig" pancake and ate the entire thing. Just for the record I did spill my hot chocolate at breakfast and it went everywhere, so the nice waitress moved us to another booth.

Fun day out with the family. On the way home Bryce and Chloe both fell fast asleep.

Tooth Trouble

A few months ago when visiting the dentist we found out that Bryce had some cavities and stuff caused from a couple of his baby teeth that didn't develop well and which were essentially falling apart and causing lots of problems in his mouth. We didn't really know how bad it was until we took him into the pediatric dentist and they were able to get a good look and tell us that he was going to need some pretty extensive work done and this would require at least partial sedation. We set up the appointment and took him in. He ended up have four root canals, 2 cavities filled, and 7 crowns put on. It was a mess. He did so well through the procedure though and pretty much slept through the whole thing with the combination of the medicine they gave him and laughing gas. I'm so grateful for that cause I don't know how he would have sat through it otherwise. Poor little guy! I feel so bad, but really I had not clue they were that bad or what was even going on. The dentist said so many factors could have caused them to develop this way, hopefully his adult teeth will be better. This was definitely a first for us neither of our older kids have ever had a root canal or a crown put on. They each might have a time or two had a small cavity that needed to be filled, but that was it. It was something I hope to never go through again. The pocketbook felt it to as our portion after insurance for this procedure was $900-ouch.
After it was all over I stopped for some dippin dots and "paw patrol" as a reward for being so brave.
When we got home great grandma showed up with some balloons and activities. One of the balloons was one that said your #1. He asked why she had given him a #1 balloon cause he was #4. I told him that #1 didn't mean how old he was but that he was really awesome or really good at something. He thought about it for a minute and said "oh I guess I'm #1 at painting." LOL
My cousin and her little girl brought Bryce a shake. He really wanted to drink it, but his mouth was so numb he couldn't suck it out of the straw. It was the saddest thing he finally fell asleep and I put it in the freezer until he woke up and then he was able to drink it.
Hopefully he will be feeling lots better now, and we won't need to visit the dentist for more than annual cleanings for a good long time.

Tubing at Brian Head

We usually let the kids choose something fun to do for their birthday. Bryce had talked about having his party at House of Jump or maybe going to the zoo, but then one day he was like for my birthday I want to go sledding. I decided since none of us had ever been tubing at Brian Head this would be the perfect excuse and booked our spots.
Saturday finally came and we headed out. Tanner's girlfriend Ariel came along.

After checking in and getting our tubes it was time to hit the slopes.

You sit on your tube and it pulls you and the tube up the hill, so there is no hiking up to go down, which is super awesome.

We got to the top and got in our lanes and they counted down and that
was it. They just pushed Bryce right down the hill. It goes super fast. I was so worried about him. We got to the bottom and I looked at him and he just had tears streaming down his face from the wind and cold and I thought "oh no". but he jumped out of his tube and said "can I please go again?" LOL

We all went time and time again until about the last 15 minutes of our session, when Bryce declared he had had enough and was ready to go back to the truck and the rest of us decided that sounded like a good idea as well.
We drove down into Parowan and got some lunch. Then Tanner and Ariel head back to St. George while the rest of us went on up to Fillmore for the weekend to visit some of our family. It was a fun little adventure. Hopefully we will be able to do it again one day.

Handy Man in Action

Even though the kids have their own bathroom they use ours a lot to get ready and stuff. I think it's partly because we have more space and a bigger mirror. Landon was getting sick of things just laying all over the counter with no sense of order  and decided to take action. He built this cool storage rack for curling irons, blow dryers, brushes and stuff. He also built an accompanying shelf to hold medicines, face products, hair products, etc. I am always amazed with the things he can think up and then just go build. He's pretty handy to have around. #handylandy

Not the Best Party Favors

While buying supplies for Bryce's birthday party I came across these really fun foam nun chucks. I bought a couple sets to give away for game prizes. Of course I bought an extra set so Bryce could have one. I figured they couldn't hurt much since after all they were just foam. Well apparently that isn't the case when foam nun chucks and four year old child take on the blinds in the frontroom. We had just replaced them too. Life with kids is never dull. #BryceEE #fournado

Gift Card Funny

Bryce got a gift card for his Birthday so we took him to Target to let him spend it. He chose out a Paw Patrol toy (something he is really into now). After we left he was talking about other Paw Patrols he wanted to get in the future. I told him he would need to save up his allowance so he could. He said "no I will just use my gift card again". I said "well bud your gift card is all gone". He said "no it's not they gave it back to me." LOL I guess he doesn't understand that even though they gave it back there is no money left on it. He must have it confused with a debit card or something like that. LOL

4th Birthday-Ninja Turtle Party

On Friday we had a little birthday party for Bryce with some of the family. We didn't do anything too big or fancy cause he wanted to go sledding so we needed to save some funds for that.

The theme for the party was Ninja Turtles. Bryce has lots of ninja turtle toy so we used those for decorations.

I made these cute invitations using photoshop-I am so happy I  finally learned how to use the laso tool so I can make things like this.

In true turtle style of course we had pizza. I made the sprite and water bottles into turtles.

Instead of cake we had sugar cookies that were decorated like turtle heads.

Chloe made a pin the sias on Raphael game.

Landon made an awesome pinata.

I made a punch out shredder game.

I think all of the games were a hit.
After playing games and eating it was time to open so presents.

It was a fun party for a fun boy.
