Truck Races

On Saturday Landon took the kids down to the truck races in Vegas. They went with our neighbor Brandon and his son Kyler who is Chloe's age. I had gotten the tickets through a promotion Smith's was having a few weeks ago-you had to buy 4 participating products and then you would get the 4 tickets. Guess how much I paid for the 4 products -$4. Gotta love coupons.

They had a fun time. The kids were glad to be able to do something with their Dad and their friends. They didn't get home until Midnight on Saturday. Good thing we have late church because none of them got out of bed the next morning until 9:30.

Soccer Update and Changes

Chloe had another soccer game on Saturday. Her team is doing awesome! They have already all improved so much. Chloe scored two goals this week and her team won 14 to 9. She is turning into quite the little player and she LOVES, LOVES, LOVES to play.

There was a big change at school for Chloe. The first grade classes were not full so they decided to do away with one of them and it was Chloe's so she joined a new class. Her new teacher is Mrs. Hoyt. She has only been going a couple of days to her class but so far she really seems to like it and she was lucky to have a couple of her friends come to that class with her as well. Also they didn't have to fire her old teacher she is actually going to be teaching a new kindergarten class that will start tomorrow.

Primary Program

On Sunday it was the Primary Program at church. The kids both had parts and both actually did them, we were a little worried about Chloe since she had kind of been throwing a fit about it and a couple weeks ago when she was supposed to give a talk in Primary I ended up giving it for her, but no worries they both did a great job!

Chloe's part "Jesus teaches us to pray to Heavenly Father". She had it memorized and down to a T.

Tanner didn't actually have a written part that they assigned him his part was to give a 30 second testimony of the Resurrection. He prepared and practiced it and did a great job telling it we couldn't have been prouder.

Rodeo and Battle Field

On Friday we went to the annual Dixie Round Up. The kids always enjoy and look forward to going to it each year. Tanner likes the bull riding and the food. Chloe loves the horses and rodeo princess's. When we first got there Chloe sat down in our seats and wouldn't move, not even to go get some dinner. During the rodeo she had fun getting autographed pictures from as many of the princess's as she could.

On Saturday is was the 100 Scout Celebration. The theme was knights of Chivalry. Landon and Tanner both went. There was an estimated 7,000 scouts in attendance-WOW! The boys got to do lots of fun things all based around knights and medieval times. They even made swords and shields in preparation for a real live battle that they had. They were all supposed to do 100 good deeds before the event and if they did they were entered into a drawing to win some fun prizes. Tanner finished his and won a really nice basketball. He was pretty happy with his sword and shield as well.

GOAAAAAAAAAAAAL!

Chloe had her first soccer game yesterday and you probably guessed it from the title of the post but just in case you didn't YES she did she scored a goal. I was so proud of her. At the start of the game I was thinking my team was totally going to get creamed but they came back fighting and in the end the score was really close although I didn't pay attention to the exact score or who one. The girls were so tired. There game is 40 minutes long-20 minute halfs. I didn't get many picture because I was trying to coach and Landon was manning the camera. but her is Chloe and one point taking the ball down the field.
Today she asked me if we could practice a little bit so she could get more aggressive. HAHA Maybe she is mine after all.

Fun in Flowell

We spent the Labor Day Weekend in Flowell. The kids had so much fun running around with there cousins from sun-up to sun-down every day.

The best part about it was the new "park" that Grandpa and Grandma put in. Look at that slide isn't it great the kids were all so excited when they saw it for the first time. They spent hours going down the slide, swinging, and digging in the sandbox. The also had fun in the treehouse and playing soccer and baseball. All they did all weekend was play, eat, and watch tv. Who could ask for anything more.

Matching

Since I work at the kids school this year and since a couple of times a week I wear a uniform just like them Chloe's newest thing is that she wants to be "matching". Whenever she can she will wear exactly what I am and she will make sure we match right down to our socks and shoes. She is so silly. It makes me feel good though that she wants to be like me. I'm sure that will change before to long but for now I will enjoy it.
She was so happy the other day when we stopped at Harmon's on the way to school and the cashier told her you look exactly like your Mom.
