For our second Christmas get together we hosted a dinner with my Dad and sisters. Everyone was able to make it besides Mandy and her family. None of us see my Dad much or have a great relationship with him. After his remarriage and then anther divorce things haven't been the best, but we are all trying a little bit to repair some of the lost relationship. It's hard. We were actually surprised when he showed up a couple of hours early and then spent most of the day at our house visiting with everyone.
The dinner was super good and everyone got along. We had a basketball game after dinner, which got a little intense at times. However everyone survived, though we did have a few down on the ground at times, and one pair of ripped pants, but it was all good and actually really fun.
The day went better than expected, now to recover for a day and get things cleaned back up before get together #3.
