Chloe made the all-star team for softball. Unfortunately the all star tournament was scheduled to be right during the same time that our annual Ellison Family reunion was, so we opted for Chloe to only play the first day (1 game) and miss the rest of it. Honestly she wasn't too shook up about the decision, because there was no way she wanted to miss out at a nice vacation at the Lake.
So she put in lots of time at practice. They had early morning and late night some days two a day up until the tournament. She earned herself a spot as the lead off hitter, but she struck out and that was the only at bat she got :( too bad, however I don't feel so horrible that she struck out since the girl who struck her out led her team to win the little league championships and onto the little league world series. During the game she played in she played out field, but didn't really see any action.
