(I took this pict with my camera-it zooms in pretty good-don't ya think?)On Monday the news announced that there would be a satellite coming close enough to Earth that you would be able to sit and watch it for a couple of minutes. Of course anytime Tanner hears anything like this it is a for sure thing that we will be out looking for whatever it may be eclipse, planet, satelite, etc. He remembers the time all day long and makes sure that we don't forget to get out there to see it.
So we went out to watch for it, and yep we saw it all right. It was moving pretty fast so although our neighbor Dave brought his telescope over we weren't really able to see it through it because of how fast it was going. The kids did use the telescope to see the "dark side of the moon" though. And after all we could at least see the tiny dot of the satelite for a few minutes and the kids were both happy with that.
