Going into the softball Championship Chloe's team (Our Team) was the number one seed. We are so proud of the what our girls accomplished this year to make that happen and the way they all worked together.
The schedule for the Championship was just a little bit screwy and things weren't exactly how they were supposed to be, but such is life I guess.
We had two games. IF we won the first we went directly into the championship game right after it.
We all thought the first game would be a cinch, since we had won the team we were playing several other times by a lot. But alas it just wasn't to be. The whole team had to really work and it was touch and go for a minute even going into extra innings. Finally we were able to come out victorious. The girls were able to grab some food and then it was time to play the Championship Game.
The first few innings of the Championship game we competed, but by the third inning the girls were starting to feel the first game and they just didn't quite have it in them to pull off a win. It was hard and frustrating for everyone. However, like I have said so many times before I just can't say enough how proud I am of each girl on this team-they all worked so hard, and really had a great season. We wouldn't have wanted any other team-even if we didn't win that last game-these girls were all champions in their own rights. And under more favorable circumstances I really think we could have pulled off the Win.
