Basketball Chloe

Chloe had her second to last basketball game last week. Here is her cute team :) These girls are a really cute group of girls.
Bryce loves watching the basketball happenings...
and look at how good he is getting at walking!
The team getting warmed up...
Time-Out...
Chloe on Defense...
Passing the Ball in...
More D (She is really good at defense)
Chloe and Mom aka coach
Chloe and Brydee-the love it when they can be on the same team
It was a good game. Chloe's team won and Chloe score several baskets as well as made some really good moves and plays. She is getting really good at knowing when to drive it, when to pass it, or when to shoot a 3 LOL. I usually have her or another girl named Sadee play point because they have the best ball handling skills and think quickly about what to do with the ball, and it's not just because she is my daughter, she really is good!

Grafton Ghost-town

On the way home from Zions Tanner suggested we visit the Grafton Ghost-town. None of us had ever been so we decided why not? It was only a little ways off the beaten trail. It was kind of a cool little ghost town...there was also a little cemetery. The interesting thing about the cemetery was there were about 13 people burried in it and all of them died in 1866, from things like Indian attacks, diphtheria, and even a couple died by falling off of their swing. It was an interesting place to visit and the kids had fun exploring.
Here is a bit of interesting info on the town of Grafton...
Grafton was first settled in 1859 one mile below its present town site. In January of 1862 the town was completely washed away by a flood. The people rebuilt the town a mile further up stream at its present site. By 1864 about 28 families lived here. There were many log houses, a post office, church, school and community hall. The town was deserted in 1866 due to Indian attacks. The people moved back in 1868. By 1920 only 3 families still lived here. Grafton has had parts of several movies shot here. One movie that was partly shot here was Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.

ZIONS

Last Monday was Presidents Day. Landon had the day off and we didn't really have anything else on our schedules, so we decided to take a little trip to Zions National Park. We didn't realize it was a FREE park weekend, so that made it even better because we got into the park for free. Chloe was so excited she had never been to Zions before.
The first trail we went on was to the Weeping Rock...
It was pretty cool. There was a lot of water coming down at the top we felt like we were in a rainstorm.
After that we had a little picnic and the went on the Riverside Walk-which is the trail that leads to the narrows. It is a leisurely scenic trail. We saw some squirrels and deer along the way. Bryce was pretty excited about that. On this trail Bryce took a nice little nap-the hiking backpack really came in handy.

Then it was onto the emerald pools, we visited all three lower, middle, and upper. It was pretty fun, although getting to the last pool was just a little bit strenuous. And of course my camera died right before we got to it so there are no pictures of the upper pool :(
After hiking to the pools we were all kind of tired so we visited the gift shop and then drove up to the tunnels.

We had a fun time at the park and hope to go back again sometime during the summer. Bryce was a really good little trooper and didn't get upset or cranky even though he was in the carrier or a car-seat for most of the day.

Bryce Stories

Bryce is a silly, active, little boy. He watches his brother and sister closely and is always suprising us by doing something we had no clue he could do. For example the other day Bryce went over to the snack cupboard, opened it up, got a sucker off the shelf, pulled of the wrapper, and stuck it in his mouth.
It was so funny and cute I couldn't take it away from him until he at least had a few tastes of it.
Doesn't he look so pleased with himself.

The other night I went to check on "B" he was asleep in his crib like this. HA-HA We have no clue how or when he managed to take his shirt off, but he did. He must be a wild sleeper just like his sister.
