Summer Vacation Part 2-The Beach and Benihana

As I said before we made a plan for the vacation that included things everyone wanted to do. My big thing was just going on the vacation and getting the condo on the beach, Landon's was going to a Redsox Game, Bryce's was Legoland, Chloe's was the beach, and Tanner's was eating out at Benihana and doing some shopping.

Day 2 was filled with activities. We started out the day early by heading down to the beach for Chloe's surfing lessons. We should have looked at the exact location a little bit better, because yes we were able to walk to them from our condo, but it took some running once we finally figured out where they were at to make it there on time.

Chloe's surf lessons were a success. I'm glad we were able to work them out-they were a last minute thing she wanted to do and it took me some time to find an availability. She paid for them herself-they were her main souvenir. She had a great instructor and lesson, and has found a new sport she loves. Now she wants to rent a surfboard anytime we visit the ocean.

After her surf lessons we just hung out at the beach for awhile. Chloe and Brandon's two boys spent most of their time boogie boarding-it was nice cause the condo had several we were able to use. Tanner did for a little bit but then he found a nice spot on the beach and stayed there. Bryce didn't really care much for the ocean at this point. We couldn't really get him to come in the water. He did build a sandcastle for a bit but then he was ready to go back to the condo and play with his new Lego's.

At one point I went on a little walk to the pier with Bryce and Tanner. Bryce loved the pier. He loved walking out and looking at the water. He loved watching the fishermen bring in fish, and he really loved the cute little gift shop about halfway down.

After spending the morning and part of the afternoon at the beach. It was time to head out for some shopping and our dinner reservations at Benihana. We hit a local mall for some shopping. Tanner especially was happy about this and Chloe and I even found a few things, Bryce was not thrilled with the whole shopping experience, so he was happy when it was time for dinner.
Benihana is a hibachi grill type restaurant where they come and prepare your meal in front of you while you watch-dinner and a show-LOL. The kids were all very entertained. IT was a fun experience, but it did hurt our pockets just a little. For sure the most expensive meal we have ever eaten and Bryce didn't even eat-LOL.

After our little outing it was back to the condo for a little R & R.
Things marked off the bucket list today: eat at Benihana, shop in Cali, and Swim in the Ocean. #ellisonsummerbucketlist
