Summer Vacation Part 1- LEGOLAND

The time had finally arrived for our much anticipated Summer Vacation. We had planned and prepared for months-trying to choose and fit something in that each person would enjoy. We got up bright and early at 2 am-the kids were thrilled! Seriously though it took them a few hours to go back to sleep. Our neighbors were going as well,  but they would drive separately.
We drove until it was breakfast time and then decided it was time for a break. We only had a little mishap, getting lost, and going the wrong way (Mom was driving at this point Dad was driving the other car with the Starks) before we were able to locate each other again and meet up for breakfast. I'm sure the kids will laugh about this incident for years to come, because for some reason they think it is hilarious and never tire from telling the tale.

Then it was back in the car, but only for about another hour and we had reached our first destination point-LEGOLAND.
We got there right when it opened perfect timing. We headed for the first ride on the map. LEGO NINJAGO. We waited quite awhile in line at this ride. We finally were able to get on, but as we waited we had a serious discussion about whether or not it would be worth the money to purchase fast passes for everyone. We decided it would so as soon as the ride was over that was what we did. Let me tell you best decision ever! We will probably never got to another theme park without doing this. We were able to go to the front of the line on every ride and we were able to do so much more than if we would have spent longer time periods waiting in line.

Lego Ninjago-it was a 3D interactive ride

We went on a robot arm ride, Bryce got a crown for being brave and riding it, I guess not very many little kids do.

This ride is similar to the teapots at Disneyland, but the Lego version

Lego Mount Rushmore-Bryce was pretty excited when he saw it.

Time for a lunch break. Chloe and Bryce had pretzels and everyone else had hamburgers and fries. The food wasn't to expensive but drinks were a pretty penny.

At one point we got on a ride where we knew we would get wet. However, we did not plan to get completely soaked. Bryce and Chloe loved it and wanted to go again-the rest of us weren't to happy about the whole thing. LOL. Here is Bryce's account of the ride.

Lego Batman was at Legoland while we were there. We missed seeing him in the morning, but found out he would be back at 3:00 that afternoon. All day long every few minute Bryce would ask is it 3:00 yet? Ha! Finally just before 3 we went over to where he was going to be and were the first ones in line. And then Bryce had to use the bathroom. We rushed him over and barely made it back right when Batman showed up. He was a little scared once he saw him up close, and didn't want to get to close to him, but he was happy to get a family picture.
Bryce's favorite ride was the Dragon Roller Coaster. It was pretty fun. We ended up riding it twice. After we got off the second time a lady asked us how old Bryce was she couldn't believe he rode it and loved it as much as he did. I think he's going to be a daredevil like his sister and Dad.

We seriously had a blast a Legoland. The park is suited best for children ages 2-12, but really the whole family had fun. I think just seeing Bryce so happy and animated about everything, made it fun for everyone. All the kids ended up with Lego souvenirs. Oh and we were able to mark ride roller coasters off the summer bucket list.

After Spending the day at Legoland. We headed to our Condo, which was located right on the beach in Oceanside.

We went and found somewhere to eat. Pizza for most of us, but plain noodles for the B.

After dinner a few people walked down to the beach before retiring for the night, while everyone else just crashed.
