Around here we love the 4th of July. The kids love picking out fireworks. I usually buy them a 4th of July shirt (Tanner didn't want one this year he's getting too old I guess). We love having friends over and setting them off. We love bbq's and swimming and spending the day together.
It is always a tradition of ours to take the kids to pick out fireworks. We set a limit on the amount we can spend and they each have a say in what we buy. Bryce was so excited this year to buy tanks and parachute army guys.
A few days before the 4th we had our annual neighborhood firework show. Our neighbors and friend all came. Everyone contributed fireworks or treats and we had a great time setting them off. This is always a highlight.
We tried to get a group selfie, but the lighting wasn't great, so not the best picture but still fun.
Good old Dave always there to help with the clean up.
The morning of the 4th of July we participated in the parade. We actually rode on a float for Landon's work. The kids thought that was pretty fun and liked throwing candy out, even though we ran out before the end of the parade route. (Chloe was appalled that Landon's work chose yellow shirts instead of something in red, white, and blue-lol)
In the afternoon we went for a swim, the 4th of July is one of the only times all year Landon is able to come to the pool with us, and Bryce loves it.

Then later that evening we had a bbq with the same group of friends and attended the concert and fireworks at the Dixie Sun Bowl. This was something we hadn't done before and it was lots of fun. (Tanner and his girlfriend both went to the Sun Bowl as well, but I don't have any pictures of them cause they didn't sit by us.)
We are so lucky to live in the USA and have all the freedoms we do.
Happy 4th of July
