Thunder Junction-All Abilities Park

There is an awesome new park in town-Thunder Junction All Abilities Park. I have never been before, although Bryce has gone once before with his babysitter. The toys there are top of the line and high quality they are built so anyone those with disabilities and those without can play and enjoy. There is also a train although it was not running the day we were there. We had lots of fun, although it was crazy busy. I think right now, especially on holidays and weekends, it is still so busy because it is so new and so fun. Hopefully we will be able to go again one day and it won't be quite so crowded so that we don't have to wait in line to do everything.

Bowling

They day after Christmas the kids and I were on Christmas break. Landon also happened to have  the day off work, so after doing some after Christmas clean up we decided to go bowling. My sister Tiffanie and her family came as well. There was an adult game and a kids game. Landon got the high score overall, but my sister Tiffanie gave him a run for his money. I should have played in the kids game cause yeah I kind of sucked that bad, but oh well at least we had a fun little family outing.

New Room

For Christmas we redid Tanner's whole room. I think Landon said it best when he said "it went from a little boys room to a collage dorm room". It really did.
I wish I would have had before and after pictures but I didn't think to take them until it was too late, so just the afters will have to do. Before the transformation there was one red wall and the rest were white. Now all of the walls are gray with white accents.
We added new light fixtures, door knobs, and curtains.
A new bed was defiantly needed as his old one was many years old and broken in several spots. New bedding helped finish it off.
Landon redid the closets adding more shelving and storage.

We wanted to add seating and finally found this love-seat that fit perfectly at a yard sale.
The last thing we decided to do was buy a tv. He has been wanting one for awhile. We finally decided he was old enough and responsible enough to warrant having one in his room.
The finished product looked great. He loved it and the best part of it is in a few years he can take whatever he needs from his room to college with him and be set.

Since Tanner now has the nicest room in the house we all like to hang out in there. The other day he was working and came home to find the whole family in his room either on his bed or coach watching some tv-haha! I don't think he knew what to think about that.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day this year was definitely one to remember. The kids were all so excited going to bed on Christmas Eve. They all spent the night in Chloe's room due to the fact that we had locked Tanner out of his room to add the finishing touches to his room remodel.
Landon and I managed to pull of several surprises for all the kids this year especially the older two who normally know everything they are getting. It made it lots of fun.
Christmas morning came early for us, it normally does. We usually get up at 4 or 5 partially due to Mom's excitement which has been passed onto the kids. This year we were bombarded at 3:30 in the morning. There was no going back to bed so we just got up anyways.

Opening up Stockings came first.

Then it was time for the treasure hunt. The kids usually go on a treasure hunt to find their big gift from Santa. This year the treasure hunts were all combined into one and it was a team effort. With the "treasure" being the opening of Tanner's door where his present along with the other two kids were hidden.

Tanner loved his room, but was especially thrilled about the tv hanging on the wall-he never saw that one coming. Along with the tv Tanner got a new mattress and box springs, i home, bedding, and couch.

Chloe found her present which was an extreme pro camera (similar to a go pro) with all the attachments. She was also excited to find a new bike and 100 gel pens under the tree as well as some clothes and other odds and ends. No wonder Mom and shipped her old bike to the DI the week before, she had been pretty upset about that.

Bryce got the Ninja turle house and bus he wanted. As well as some PJ Masks toys and a new scooter. He loved everything he got down to the letter magnets and pez in his stocking.

Both of the older kids got 3D virtual reality headsets. Those brought lots of entertainment for the whole family. The even got great grandma to try them out.

Bryce crashed just before 11. The only downside was that we had to wake him up to head to church.
Church was really nice. Beautiful message and lasted all of 45 minutes. Then it was time to head home for a nap and some more time with family.

Latter we went out to my Grandma Marshall's for Christmas Dinner.
It was a great day. MERRY CHRISTMAS
