Little Jamaica

The kids had been wanting to go to Little Jamaica all summer. We had never been but had heard lots about it-Landon has been super busy at work, but 2 Saturdays ago he was able to sneak away for awhile and go with us. Our neighbors the Starks went as well.
Little Jamaica (also known as Littlefield Springs) is a unique swimming hole and waterfall found just before Mesquite, Nevada. Which makes it just a short drive from our house. It connects to the river but the water from it is from a spring from the mountain not the river-though since it is right next to the river we did do some river swimming as well. The kids had an absolute blast and seriously would have spent the day there-we were finally able to drag them away after  a few hours though.

Bryce spent a little time on the sandy beach playing with sticks and rocks-he has a problem with his body temperature when he gets in the water and he has to warm up every once in awhile when he starts shivering and his lips turn purple-Tanner used to be the same way.

One of the kids favorite parts was cliff jumping off of the big rocks.

Here is the actual swimming hole and waterfall-that isn't just the river. It was actually really pretty and neat to see. It was also really crowded-a lot of people must have had the same idea to go check it out.

I'm glad we went, it was a fun little trip, and I'm sure if the kids have any say in it, it won't be our last visit.
