Arizona Vacation: Shoes and Baseball (Day 3)

Day 3 started out with a trip to the Discount Shoe Store. My Mom had been talking it up to the girls for awhile now and to say they were a little bit excited would be an understatement. Chloe even saved up extra money in anticipation of buying lots of shoes. She definitely loves shoes-she must get that from her Grandma not her Mommy. After being there almost an hour I think she finally narrowed it down to 4 pair (I believe Taelor ended up with 3). It was a fun little girls day out.

After part of the crew stayed home while the rest of us went to a baseball game. Bryce got in a much needed nap-he slept this way for a few hours amiss all of the chaos.
Part of the reason we chose to go down to Arizona when we did was because it was during Spring Training. We went to see the Athletics and Angels play (of course we are mostly Redsox fans, but we kind of like the Angels too, plus the Sox weren't playing while we were in town). We had pretty good seats. It was kind of boring to begin with, but towards the end it go a little more exciting. It was just a little hot since it was right in the middle of the day. Good thing I waited in a line for 30 minutes or more to get us some $6 drinks and ice creams-lol. That's the cost of ball park food ;) All in all it was pretty fun and I think everyone who went enjoyed it even though the Angels ended up losing by 1 in the last inning :(. After we got home we found out the Will Farrell came to a bunch of Spring Training Games a few days after we went-dang it-we should have planned that a little better. Will Farrell is an actor, who is pretty funny-he stars in one of my kids all time favorite movies ELF. Maybe next time.

After the baseball game we met back up with everyone and went out to dinner at a Mexican Restaurant called -Garcia's. The food was delicious!!! Then it was home for a movie and snacks, including some really really yummy gourmet popcorn. Most of us didn't make it through the movie as we were pretty beat after all the excitement over the last few days.
