One thing that was on our bucket list to do for the summer was to Build a Zip Line at Landon's parents house. Life got busy and we didn't quite get it done in the summer, however Landon came through last weekend and got it installed. It turned out to be one of those all day projects.
With a few kinks, and extra trips to town for supplies. At one point Landon had to remove a huge tree branch to make it happen and on the way down it hit him in the head, broke the ladder, and kind of mangled his Mom's clothesline. Lucky Landon's head was okay, and the ladder and clothesline can both be fixed.
The kids were pretty patient waiting for the zipline to be finished, and even helped with some of the stuff Landon needed help with.
Finally it was finished. Chloe eagerly agreed to be the first to test it out. I was a little nervous on that first run, but things went off without a hitch, and the kids spend the rest of the evening going down it. I'm sure it will bring many hours of entertainment in the years to come. We are so lucky to have such an awesome guy like Landon around to build cool things.
Bryce didn't try it he said he would wait until we bought a harness, the kit we got this time just had the swing and he wasn't super comfortable with that.
Even though he didn't ride it himself, Bryce had just as much fun running after each kid as they went down the zip line. By the end of the night he was wore out from so much running.
