This kid is definitely all boy. He loves guns! He loves, loves, loves water guns and squirt bottles or anything that will shoot water.. In this picture he came in and told me he was going to go in the neighborhood and get some kids-haha! The gun is practically bigger than he is. Recently he has also discovered nerf guns and he is obsessed-I feel like all I do some days is load bullets for him. I don't know what it is about little boys and guns but there is some kind of connection for sure.

Washington Rec Center
Last week I took Bryce, Chloe, and Brydee swimming to the Washington City Rec Center. Bryce loved it! The only problem though is that he thinks he is a big kid so he doesn't just nicely play in the shallow water where I can sit and watch him-no he wants to be following his two sisters ;) around and gets worried if he can't see them. He also wants to be going down the hydro tube which requires Mom's help. And lets not forget the lazy river-he thought that was the best thing ever and he did not want me to touch him while he was swimming in it he kept telling me he could do it by his self. I would have to periodically drag him out to warm him up. Since he has not fat on his bones he tends to get cold really easily-he starts shivering and his lips even turn blue (Tanner was the same way when he was little). So yeah I wasn't able to snap any pictures of the little tyke in the water cause I was too busy chasing him, but I did manage to snap one of the BFF's :)
Everybody Walk Your Dinosaur
A few months ago I found this dinosaur costume at a yard sale and knew I had to buy it. Bryce was starting to get into dinosaurs at that time and I figured he could use it for dress-up and possibly a Halloween Costume this year. Well the first time I tried to put it on him he freaked out, so I put it in the top of the closet. Well last week one of the kids found it up there and pulled it down-and guess what. Bryce loved it! HE wanted to keep putting it on and walking around in it. I told Landon not to be surprised if soon he wasn't wearing it to the grocery store-haha! Tanner did not think that was funny at all! I reminded him that when he was little he wore his Batman costume everywhere for months.
Fathers Day
Landon is a great Dad. He works so hard to provide a good life for the kids-he makes sure that they are able to do a lot, and not only that he tries to support them in all that they do by being to their events and activities. He also is a great example on serving and has done a great job as the 2nd counselor. At times it is hard and I know that he is tired and burnt out, but he doesn't give up or quit the things he knows he is supposed to be doing. Bryce has started asking me every morning when he wakes up-"Where is Daddy At?" We love our Daddy. Happy Fathers Day to a Great Man.

Strawberry Jam
I am so happy I have my Grandma right here. I love being able to go to her house and hang out. I love that she teaches me things and we can work on projects together whether it be quilts, canning, or something else. Strawberries were on a really good sale last week so our project this time was strawberry freezer jam. We easily whipped up a couple of batches. YUM!!! Strawberry freezer jam is my families favorite-we should be good for at least another year now. I wish I would have gotten some pictures-I need to do better a capturing pictures of things like this.
Week of June 15-20 Resting, Swimming, and Baseball
Last week we took the opportunity to do a lot of resting. There was no baseball practice during the week no soccer practice either. Chloe did have swim team and softball still-but we had a lot of down time. Tanner slept in a lot and Chloe took a lot of much needed naps.
We did go swimming on Tuesday. The bad thing was that I got sunscreen on me and Preslie and Bryce, but not on Tanner and Chloe. (mom of the year right there). Even worse they ended up being at the pool for at least three hours. Can you say 2nd degree burns at least. So yeah we needed even more down time after that-as they were in a lot of pain.
(Tanner's burn after a week or so)
Friday and Saturday Tanner had a baseball tournament in Panguitch. I took Tanner to Panguitch and we spent the night. Crazy thing the first game was originally scheduled at 9 am so we got up bright and early to leave town and get there on time-only to show up and have Tanner realize he had gotten a text the day before with a game change to 2 pm. I seriously wanted to beat the child! So we had hours to waste we drove up to Panguitch Lake, and over to Bryce Canyon. Then we had some lunch and were finally able to check into our hotel. The played two games and lost both of them. One of the games turned pretty ugly with a coach and player from Tanners team both getting ejected. Tanner only played about two innings in each. After the games we went to the movie theatre to watch San Andres. Then off to our luxury accommodations (haha) for a good nights rest. The next morning they played another game-they ended up losing by one point-but they still lost-so they were out of the tournament and we headed home. Tanner played about 3 innings of that game.
While we went to Panguitch I left Chloe and Bryce home. Chloe tended him all day Friday until Landon got home. They did go to my Grandma's for a few hours at one point-but overall she managed all by herself. She did such a good job too-she made sure he got to the bathroom (no accidents), she put him down for a nap, and she even made cookies. What a good SIS. When Landon got home he took them both out for frozen yogurt. Saturday Chloe had a swim meet @ Dixie. She swam three races. The breast, IM, and Free. She did really good in each race. She is beating her times each week and getting stronger and better ever day. This year might be a tough year for her since she is in a new age group and is the very youngest-but I think we can still plan to see some good things. In the breast she took 5th overall, 1st overall in the IM, and 8th overall in the Freestyle. Way to go Chloe!!! She definitely is part fish.

Ants
Ants!!! Every summer it happens the ants come out in full force. It's bad enough when they are outside-but then they come in. It seems like I just get them under control in one room or area of the house and then they pop up in another. It is so frustrating-the yard is professionally sprayed regularly by a pest control company-yet still they don't go away. I have tried everything in my house to get rid of them from plain old pest control to natural remedies. Stuff seems to work for awhile, but then they just pop up somewhere else. I am so over ants! I think I hate them more than any bug alive! At least there is relief when the fall and winter roll around-they only seem to be a huge problem during the summer. HOPEFULLY I can get them under control soon though and won't have to battle them for the next 3 months!!!!!!!!!!!!

Snapshots of Summer
A few of my favorite snapshots of summer so far this year...as you can tell our lives revolve around the water a lot during the summer.
Utah Summer Games-Soccer-Gold Medal Champions!!!
Chloe's Soccer Team-United-went to the summer games. There were different levels-blue, red, and white (blue being the highest). Chloe's team played in the blue division for their age group u11.
There were four regular games scheduled for each team-then based on points earned in each game they were seeded into the championship games.
Thursday they had two games.
They won the first 6-2. Chloe score a goal!
The lost the second 0-2. :(
Friday they had two more games.
The won the first 5-0. Another goal for Chloe!
They won the second 1-0.
Based on their wins and the points they earned for each game they had the second most points so that put them in the championship game (gold/silver)-of course they would face the team that had beat them.
Right before the game Chloe's coach looked at the girls and said-girls this is your last time putting on a United Jersey cause next year our team name is changing. They got sad for just a minute-but he then told them-let's make it count as United we have enough silver medals & second places we need a gold. Everyone of those girls fought their little hearts out. The played harder than they have ever played, and despite one disappointing call when Chloe made a goal and there was an offsides call they still managed to pull it off. Even when they other team scored the first goal of the game they didn't give up and it paid off they ended up winning the game 2-1. It was the best feeling in the world seeing them accomplish this.
Team huddle after the big win.
While the girls were waiting to take the podium the took some fun pictures.
We "heart" Soccer.
Group Selfie
a star with their fingers
fun picture celebrating their goalie and the awesome job she did
Then it was time for them to take the podium and receive their medals. They were so excited. They wanted picture after picture-we thought they would never get down-haha. They have worked so hard for this!!!
They did their team cheer one last time.
What a fun and exciting few days for this girl and her team. She played so well the entire tournament. She started almost every game and played a lot. She fought hard for the ball every second it was in her territory-she passed well, she dribble well, and she score goals-she did exactly what a forward is supposed to do.
