Molluscum Contagiosum

Bryce developed a bad rash. It was mostly on his legs. The weird thing about it was that the bumps looked different that most rashes and they seemed to spread at an alarming rate. I tried several things that didn't seem to help so I finally made an appointment and took him in to the doctor.

The diagnosis-Molluscum Contagiousum
Molluscum Contagiousum is a viral infection that causes a mild skin rash. The rash looks like one or more small growths or wart-like bumps (called mollusca) that are usually pink, white, or skin-colored. The bumps are usually smooth and shiny or pearly-looking, and may have an indented center.
There really isn't a whole lot they could do for it. The doctor said had if it been only a few they could have burned or froze them off similar to a wart. But where he had as many as he did it was best to just wait it out. He did give us some cream to try which seemed to help. For the most part he is all healed up now, with just a few lingering.
We don't know where he picked it up, but we are kind of suspecting the gym at his occupational therapy.
