Cousins

Isn't this the cutest group of kids you have ever seen? This is all eleven grandkids on Landon's side. Don't they look great in their matching Christmas Sweaters! Fun Times!

Snow Fun!

The day after Christmas, despite the freezing cold weather, we bundled up a few of the kiddos and went sledding. They had a blast! We stayed out for over and hour and they would have stayed longer if we would have let them.

By the last run Chloe was so tired she just laid in her sled at the bottom of the hill and waited for someone to come and get her.

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas with the family. We went to Landon's parents house in Flowell.
The kids in their Christmas Eve Pajamas..
They were so excited!

Lined up with the cousins waiting to go out and see what Santa brought..

Tanner's Favorite Present-an air soft gun from Great Grandma Marshall he had to go out and shoot it before he could do anything else.Tanner and his loot.

Chloe got a DS and a Madame Alexander doll she was thrilled Hey wait there is one more package back there behind the tree
Surprised? Clark I wouldn't be more surprised if I woke up in the morning with my head sewed to the carpet.HAHA

If I could only Whistle...

Well I guess I posted a little early about the two front teeth, because now Chloe is actually missing both of her bottom front teeth; not just one. Yesterday she was sitting on the couch watching a movie and then she came running in the kitchen yelling "Mom my other tooth came out". Sure enough now there is quite a space on the bottom of her mouth, and she looks so cute.

Sugar Cookies

On Monday the kids and I decided to make our yearly Christmas Sugar Cookies. First I had the kids help me scrub the kitchen from top to bottom and the we started our venture. I made a double batch but we ended up only using half of it and freezing the other half for later, which is a good thing because with what we did use we had 5 cookie sheets full of cookies. The kids had fun cutting them out and decorating them. We used some for gifts, and kept the rest to eat. The end product was delicious.

I'll I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth

So it has finally happened Chloe has lost her first tooth. She has been waiting for months for this great event ever since her cousin Saydee, lost her first tooth. She is so excited for the tooth fairy to come. Guess I better pull out my wings and get them dusted off. LOL

Christmas Fun!

Today was Christmas or Holiday Dress Up Day at the School for the kids.
Tanner was an elf.

Check out the nice suit coat for $1 and Landon made the awesome shoes and hat from a couple of stockings.

Chloe was a reindeer.

Rudolph to be exact complete with red nose and she had me paint her nails black because reindeer have black feet.

Fun! Fun! Only 8 more Days until Christmas! Yeah!

80's flashback

This week is Spirit Week at the kids school again. Today was flashback day. I was really feeling burnout last night so we didn't come up with anything to great for the kids except some great memories. The rolled up jeans for Tanner and a ponytail on the side for Chloe. I tried to peg (or roll) her jeans as well but she started crying and said it looked ugly. HaHa. next year I will head to the DI for sure and track down some cool stuff.Tomorrow is Christmas Day, so be waiting for a new post. Landon has been hard at work sewing an elf costume for Tanner and I snagged him a nice red suit coat at the dollar store. Chloe is going to be a reindeer. I will post those picts sometime tomorrow so check back.

Family Christmas Party

Today we had our annual Family Christmas Party. It was lots of fun. We started out with a story of the true meaning of Christmas-it was very nice. Then it was onto the Gingerbread House decorating. The girls had houses and the boys had castles. We had lots of yummy food and even a visit from Santa Clause himself (aka Grandpa Doug). All of the kids especially the smaller ones-except Taelor- were so excited to see him and were very happy with the presents he brought for them. We had a fun, fun time and were glad for the time were were able to spend with the family.

Basketball

The basketball season for Tanner is underway. This year he is on the TrailBlazer's team. They are doing very good so far. They had a game this morning-bright and early at 8:00-I guess I should call it a butt whoopin though at least for the other team. I was actually starting to feel bad for them.
Here is the score at the end of the third....
Here is the coach from the other team-not a happy camper.Tannner is doing very well so far this year he has been getting tons on rebounds and stills and his dribbling has greatly improved. Now we just need to work on him getting a few baskets. He did try for a few today and even made a really impressive drive but nothing was going in for him. Hopefully that will change over the next few games. I really like there coach he teaches the boys to pass and not just to run down and pass, in fact a few times during the game there were boys that had a chance to make a shot but the looked for a team member who hadn't made a basket yet and threw it to them to let them have a chance. I was very impressed.

SNOW!

The last few days we have been getting small traces of snow. It would snow very lightly at times but nothing was sticking. Chloe claims it was all Santa's doing because yesterday when he was at her school it magically started snowing. Then this morning when we woke up there was actually some off the white stuff on the ground and enough on the cars and stuff that the kids were able to at least make a few snowballs before it all melted. Snow it St. George is a rarity so for them it is very exciting to see every now and then. It has been freezing though, so I hope it warms back up at least a little bit.

Christmas Program

The kids had their school Christmas Program tonight. Chloe refused to participate. The kindergarten was doing "Babes in Toyland". Tanner's class sang Jing Bells and Mele Kalikamaka. They served cookies and milk during the event and the kids were very excited for that-funny how the little things are what they look forward to.

Lights!

Landon did a great job with the lights this year. Him and the neighbor Dave spent hours getting everything just right and making both houses look nice. Dave even went so far as to decorate the mailbox that sits on the corner by his house he wrapped the sides so it looks like a present-very creative. We're not quite the Griswalds yet, but Landon was saying we need more lights for the bushes because we can't be outdone by Dave. I told him it would have to wait a year so I could get them on clearance when Christmas is over-haha.

Oh Christmas Tree! Oh Christmas Tree!

Last night we put up the Christmas tree and all the Christmas decorations. The kids were especially excited to put up their little trees in their rooms. And I think that Landon has finished with all the lights and decorations outside now. so now we are officially ready to "turn on Christmas" as my nephew Dustin would say. The kids are excited and the countdown has begun. Last night I went into Tanner's room and he was reading with his Santa hat on later I went in and found him asleep in it. HaHa
