Spring Break

We stayed in town during spring break mainly because even though Chloe wasn't cleared to play softball yet she still had to go to practice and a tournament-which they ended up letting her play a few games in to start getting back in the swing on things-those were her first games she was able to play in so that was exciting! Also we didn't have a lot of extra money with all that we had recently invested in the backyard, so we decided just to stay home and do some fun things around town.

The first day of spring break I ended up taking a trip to Vegas with my sister Tiffanie. It was unplanned, but it was fun. A nice getaway for us both. My aunt Jamie did both of our hair while we were down there-that was the main reason for going-and I was super happy with the results.

The next day I took Bryce and cousins to the movies. We went to see The Lego Movie 2. It was cute and the kids liked it. They always have fun when they are together.
Despite the not so great weather, on Wednesday, I took the kids to hike at Gunlock Reservoir to see the waterfalls. I was wondering if I was crazy when I got there and the bitter cold wind was blowing. We stuck it out though and walked the short distance to the falls. Once we got there being out in the cold was totally worth it. The falls were super awesome and fun to explore. They only run when it has rained a lot so it was the perfect time to see them. It was also a first for us.

After our hike we stopped at Iceberg for some lunch and ice cream.
On Friday I took Bryce to Fiesta Fun. He had been asking all week. We met up with Preslie and Adalee. They had fun playing arcade games for an hour and then spending their tickets on silly little prizes.

Friday and Saturday Chloe was able to participate in a softball tournament. It was so good for her to be able to get back on the field. She was all smiles beforehand and was just happy to be out there. She still wasn't officially cleared at this point, but this was the first step in getting her back. It was determined by her trainer, her doctor, and us that this was a step in the right direction for her.

Literally I almost cried when I saw her back on the field after being out for so long. Words can't describe something like that.

We had a fun and busy spring break. Bring on Summer!!!
