This week Tanner had two baseball games, both against Desert Hills. One was at Desert Hills Field the other was a Dixie field. In the first game Tanner started at right field and then played the last two innings at short stop. He played well-but his team lost by a lot. The team made a lot of errors overall and none of them were hitting that great.
The second game Tanner didn't play at all-I guess it was his rotation out. This is only the second game he has sat out of the whole year. He was pretty upset about it and I felt bad for him. We tried to be positive about it and just let him know for him being a freshmen and a lot of the other kids being sophomores plus all of the politics involved he is lucky he is playing as much as he is. Hopefully he will keep a positive attitude and continue to play well when he does. I think for the most part it looks like now he will play short stop or 2nd base, and then they will have him catch if they need him to and sometimes even play right field. He has played a lot of positions this year-I have to say out of everyone on the team he has played the broadest range of positions-I guess that means he is a good versatile player.
