Last Monday was Presidents Day. Landon had the day off and we didn't really have anything else on our schedules, so we decided to take a little trip to Zions National Park. We didn't realize it was a FREE park weekend, so that made it even better because we got into the park for free. Chloe was so excited she had never been to Zions before.
It was pretty cool. There was a lot of water coming down at the top we felt like we were in a rainstorm. After that we had a little picnic and the went on the Riverside Walk-which is the trail that leads to the narrows. It is a leisurely scenic trail. We saw some squirrels and deer along the way. Bryce was pretty excited about that. On this trail Bryce took a nice little nap-the hiking backpack really came in handy.
Then it was onto the emerald pools, we visited all three lower, middle, and upper. It was pretty fun, although getting to the last pool was just a little bit strenuous. And of course my camera died right before we got to it so there are no pictures of the upper pool :(
After hiking to the pools we were all kind of tired so we visited the gift shop and then drove up to the tunnels.
We had a fun time at the park and hope to go back again sometime during the summer. Bryce was a really good little trooper and didn't get upset or cranky even though he was in the carrier or a car-seat for most of the day.
