First off this meet was a two day meet-Friday was the prelims and Saturday was the finals. Except for the relays there were only eight teams in each of those so they just counted the one race as the prelim and final both. There were tons of kids participating. The top 8 swimmers in each race moved onto the finals on Saturday. Chloe's schedule looked like this:
100 meter freestyle relay
25 meter butterfly
100 meter individual medley
100 meter relay medley
25 meter freestyle
She swam her very hardest and she made it two the finals in all of her individual events. We were so proud of her. It was really tough competition considering she was swimming against a few girls with 'A times' or "Olympic times". Usually they make these girls swim up or only for exhibition but for some reason in this meet they didn't. But Chloe held her own against them for only swimming three months compared to their probably years of swimming. On Saturday she ended up with 1 fourth place in the freestyle and two fifth places in her IM and butterfly plus her personal best times in all her events. Her Grandparents from both sides were able to attend the meet on Saturday and unfortunately I don't have any picts of them with her I wish I would have gotten a few.
