The week of the 4th of July Tanner had a ball tournament up in Heber City. Since Landon's family was all here through Monday and since the 4th was on Wednesday Landon decided he might as well just take the rest of the week off and make a mini vacation of it.
Tuesday we went to Flowell. Landon and the kids had a sleepover on the trampoline. The kids had fun and Chloe was excited that she could see the stars, not to excited about the bug bights that are now covering her entire body though. Tanner thought it was fun except for when he ran into the house at one point in the dark and got clotheslined by the dog's chain-he had two big marks right across his forehead.
Wednesday was the 4th. We got up that morning and headed to Seven Peaks water park. The kids had a blast!
Chloe got to the top of this ride and wouldn't let go of Landon so it could drop her. It kind of drops you right at the top and was just a little to scary for her. Tanner gladly brought her down to me.
Landon had to show us all his skills on this slide and was so proud that he made it up over the hump without having to ring the bell of shame about 2 out of every 3 people had to. He said it was due to his great aero-dynamic body. He also impressed us with his back flip off the rope swing but I think his abs were paying for it the rest of the week.
After Seven Peaks we went to Landon's sister Taryn's for a 4th of July Celebration. We only had two close calls with the fireworks so I guess you could call it a success. One happened when some sparks hit little Camille in the face and the other when the kids were sitting to close to a firework that was lit. Boy it was something to hear them all screaming and climbing over each other to try and get away from it. Luckily everyone came away from the event unscathed.
The next morning we headed to the zoo. There were rain clouds looming, but since the weather forecast had only predicted a 20% chance we thought for sure we would be fine, and even if if did rain it wouldn't last long. Boy were we wrong, it lasted the entire time we were there and was actually raining harder the last 20 minutes of our visit. Everyone resorted to either buying an umbrella or poncho for the adventure. The rain didn't dampen the kids spirits though they still had lots of fun.
After the zoo we all went to Red Robin for lunch. Upon seeing us all walk in (maybe it was the 9 kids that scared them) they realized they had just the place for us, a back room with doors that closed-lol. It was great and so was our waiter.
After that it was off to Tanner's first two ball games. Guess what the rain had stopped and the sun was out by the time he played.
Friday morning was two more ball games for Tanner. That night Landon, Tanner, Jeff, and Jack all went to a Bee's game.
Saturday we headed back to Flowell and spent another night.
Sunday after church and lunch we headed home-but the fun has yet to end we picked up two of the kids cousins in Fillmore on the way and brought them home with us for the week.

Seven Peaks looked so fun! I can't wait until my kids are old enough to enjoy it. How on earth do you even make it up that slide with the hump? I don't understand. I would've loved to see the back flip. His back flips were pretty impressive on the trampoline. We're so glad we got to spend so much time with you guys. My kids adore your kids.
Wow, you guys really know how to "party" !!!
