Flowell always has a 24th of July Celebration. It changes from year to year and although it's not as big as it used to be it is usually still lots of fun. They had a run, softball game, kickball game, children's parade, games for the kids, bakeoff, dinner and a movie in the park after dark. This year they were even supposed to have a greased pig. Supposed to. Well actually they did but the dang thing just laid down and wouldn't run. My kids were so disappointed they had been looking forward to it for days. Grandpa Leland had even given them pointers on how to catch it. Here is the culprit...
The kids still had a great time! They were really glad to have their cousins Dawson, Dakoda, and Brinn to spend the day with as well. We stayed at the church for most of the afternoon. We decided to go home after dinner and skip the movie and instead let off fireworks. The kids were not disappointed. Fun Times!
