Tanner had a baseball tournament last weekend. I'm still not doing a very good job of taking pictures, but I did manage to take one of him before one of his games. His team had a pretty good run at this tournament they went 2 and 2. On Friday I made myself go to one of Tanner's games to try and be a good mommy-haha. And yes you would have to make yourself go to if it meant sitting in a blistering 105 degrees of direct sunlight. Thankfully someone shared there canopy with me. I was glad I went because I was able to see Tan make some pretty awesome double plays and also get a really good hit that ended up being a triple. Tanner played 2nd base pretty much the entire tournament and I think he had about 5 double plays from there :)

Lightning Strikes at Swim Meet
Chloe had her last swim meet of the summer season last Saturday. It was another big one. The only bad thing about it was the weather-it started lightning and thundering about 4 hours into the meet. Right before Chloe's next race. They ended up canceling the whole meet and she missed her last three events. She was bummed because at this meet they were giving out medals to the top three instead of just ribbons like they usually do. She kept saying that she was going to get five gold medals like Michael Phelps-haha. Well she got two before the meet was canceled.
Here relay team took first in fact they totally smoked the competition. They were all so excited.
She also got a gold medal in the backstroke-which no one was expecting because she hasn't swum a backstroke in competition in months and it's not really her specialty. But she did it! 1st out of about 20 girls. I have no doubt she would have gotten her five golds had the meet not been canceled.

Baby Update
I had a doctor appointment on Friday. Chloe was happy that I told her she could accompany me, Tanner was gone to a baseball tournament and Landon was at work, she was super excited because I told her that she would be able to hear the babies heartbeat. Well the doctor made her day even better because he has an older ultrasound machine and he let her actually see the baby and see it's heartbeat. She thought that it was so cool. The only disappointing thing for her was the fact that she really wanted there to be two heartbeats-HAHA! I'm pretty happy there wasn't because I don't think I would have survived. The doc said everything looked good so far and the baby was measuring exactly where it should be.

Future Olympian
First off this meet was a two day meet-Friday was the prelims and Saturday was the finals. Except for the relays there were only eight teams in each of those so they just counted the one race as the prelim and final both. There were tons of kids participating. The top 8 swimmers in each race moved onto the finals on Saturday. Chloe's schedule looked like this:
100 meter freestyle relay
25 meter butterfly
100 meter individual medley
100 meter relay medley
25 meter freestyle
She swam her very hardest and she made it two the finals in all of her individual events. We were so proud of her. It was really tough competition considering she was swimming against a few girls with 'A times' or "Olympic times". Usually they make these girls swim up or only for exhibition but for some reason in this meet they didn't. But Chloe held her own against them for only swimming three months compared to their probably years of swimming. On Saturday she ended up with 1 fourth place in the freestyle and two fifth places in her IM and butterfly plus her personal best times in all her events. Her Grandparents from both sides were able to attend the meet on Saturday and unfortunately I don't have any picts of them with her I wish I would have gotten a few. Thanks for coming to watch and for the support it meant a lot to Chloe.
This video is of Chloe's prelim butterfly-the one video I have is actually her weakest event.Tuesday, July 17, 2012
ten years
Landon has worked at Western Rock for Ten Year now. WOW! That's impressive. We are glad that he has a good job with such good benefits, and nice bonuses and incentives. Especially with the economy and the downfall in construction we are glad that his job has held steady through the tough times. Landon was presented with this nice plaque yesterday and he also got a ten year gift-he chose a gift card to put towards the purchase of a new tv that he has been saving up for. (It is now hanging on the wall of our living room-lol)
Good Job Landon! Thanks for working so hard for us :)
Last Week-More Cousin Fun
My Sister Mandy's kids came home with us last Sunday and stayed through Friday. The kids had lots and lots of fun with their cousins. I feel so bad that I only got my camera out one day that they were here. When I don't feel good I just don't feel like taking pictures and I have been feeling lousy. Anyways we swam at the rec center and climbed the rock wall, went to the splash pad, went swimming with Taelor and Braxton at their Grandma's pool, played on the slip and slide, and lots more. One day Great Grandma was even being brave and took all the great grand-kids and two of her grand-kids to lunch. I couldn't tell you if she is crazy or brave or both. The kids had fun though. On the last night they had a sleepover with Grandpa and Grandma Gentry and then they spent most of Friday hanging out with Grandpa. He took them to the dollar store and to the park. It
was a crazy, busy, fun week.

We usually have them come for a week every summer-next year I should be feeling better and it should be even funner. I think I was laying down in my room for more than half the time they were here this time so I felt kind of bad about it, but the kids still seemed to have fun and I think they were just happy to be together not matter what they were doing.
