Last Week-More Cousin Fun

My Sister Mandy's kids came home with us last Sunday and stayed through Friday. The kids had lots and lots of fun with their cousins. I feel so bad that I only got my camera out one day that they were here. When I don't feel good I just don't feel like taking pictures and I have been feeling lousy. Anyways we swam at the rec center and climbed the rock wall, went to the splash pad, went swimming with Taelor and Braxton at their Grandma's pool, played on the slip and slide, and lots more. One day Great Grandma was even being brave and took all the great grand-kids and two of her grand-kids to lunch. I couldn't tell you if she is crazy or brave or both. The kids had fun though. On the last night they had a sleepover with Grandpa and Grandma Gentry and then they spent most of Friday hanging out with Grandpa. He took them to the dollar store and to the park. It
was a crazy, busy, fun week.

We usually have them come for a week every summer-next year I should be feeling better and it should be even funner. I think I was laying down in my room for more than half the time they were here this time so I felt kind of bad about it, but the kids still seemed to have fun and I  think they were just happy to be together not matter what they were doing.

Fun 4th of JUly Week

The week of the 4th of July Tanner had a ball tournament up in Heber City. Since Landon's family was all here through Monday and since the 4th was on Wednesday Landon decided he might as well just take the rest of the week off and make a mini vacation of it.
Tuesday we went to Flowell. Landon and the kids had a sleepover on the trampoline. The kids had fun and Chloe was excited that she could see the stars, not to excited about the bug bights that are now covering her entire body though. Tanner thought it was fun except for when he ran into the house at one point in the dark and got clotheslined by the dog's chain-he had two big marks right across his forehead.
Wednesday was the 4th. We got up that morning and headed to Seven Peaks water park. The kids had a blast!
Chloe got to the top of this ride and wouldn't let go of Landon so it could drop her. It kind of drops you right at the top and was just a little to scary for her. Tanner gladly brought her down to me.
Landon had to show us all his skills on this slide and was so proud that he made it up over the hump without having to ring the bell of shame about 2 out of every 3 people had to. He said it was due to his great aero-dynamic body. He also impressed us with his back flip off the rope swing but I think his abs were paying for it the rest of the week.
After Seven Peaks we went to Landon's sister Taryn's for a 4th of July Celebration. We only had two close calls with the fireworks so I guess you could call it a success. One happened when some sparks hit little Camille in the face and the other when the kids were sitting to close to a firework that was lit. Boy it was something to hear them all screaming and climbing over each other to try and get away from it. Luckily everyone came away from the event unscathed.
The next morning we headed to the zoo. There were rain clouds looming, but since the weather forecast had only predicted a 20% chance we thought for sure we would be fine, and even if if did rain it wouldn't last long. Boy were we wrong, it lasted the entire time we were there and was actually raining harder the last 20 minutes of our visit. Everyone resorted to either buying an umbrella or poncho for the adventure. The rain didn't dampen the kids spirits though they still had lots of fun.
After the zoo we all went to Red Robin for lunch. Upon seeing us all walk in (maybe it was the 9 kids that scared them) they realized they had just the place for us, a back room with doors that closed-lol. It was great and so was our waiter.
After that it was off to Tanner's first two ball games. Guess what the rain had stopped and the sun was out by the time he played.
Friday morning was two more ball games for Tanner. That night Landon, Tanner, Jeff, and Jack all went to a Bee's game.
Saturday we headed back to Flowell and spent another night.
Sunday after church and lunch we headed home-but the fun has yet to end we picked up two of the kids cousins in Fillmore on the way and brought them home with us for the week.

Weekend with the Ellison's

Landon's whole family came down for Chloe's baptism and then they all either stayed until Sunday or Monday, so we had a fun filled weekend. (I wasn't feeling the greatest and took no pictures at all so what I have I stole from my sister-in-laws. Thanks Guys!)
On Saturday night we had family pictures taken with the whole group-something that hasn't happened since Landon had a mullet-lol.
In between the baptism and pictures we spent time at the motel swimming.
Sunday we went to church. I felt a little bit bad for Chloe's teacher when her class instantly doubled when Chloe showed up with 4 cousins in tow. After church we had a BBQ and a mini family reunion. It was lots of fun. Each family was in charge of a game and we stayed at the park for hours just hanging out and playing. I think the kids could have stayed even longer.
Later that evening we went hiking at the red hills above town. The kids were excited to give everyone a tour through "The Crack" and show off the old pioneer homes, which are built into the rocks. It got dark or I'm sure they would have stayed longer to run around and do some more climbing.

On Monday we went to Sandhollow Reservoir for a picnic and some swimming. When it was all over the kids couldn't bear to part ways so Chloe went home with Makele and Jack came home with us. It worked out since we would be heading up to Ogden the next day anyways. It was a fun filled family adventure and hopefully we'll all be able to get together again soon.

A Big Surprise

On Chloe's baptism day we had a lunch in the park with all the extended family and a few close friends. Chloe got a special present during the lunch. Inside the present was a note with a doll and this shirt-letting her know that she is soon going to be a big sister. FINALLY! All of her prayers have paid off, it is what she has wanted so badly for so long.
FYI- I am about eight weeks along and my due date is Feb. 15.

Chloe's Baptism

On Saturday June 30 Chloe was baptized a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It was a special day for her with lots of family and friends there to support her.

We are so proud of of our little girl and thankful to everyone who came.
