Primary Program

Last Sunday was the Annual Primary Program in Sacrament Meeting. It is one of my favorite Sunday's of the year. Chloe gave a talk this year and also sang a song with the other girls who are in activity days as well as participating in the other songs.

Her talk was one she had written all by herself a few months ago for primary-they asked her to keep it afterwards and then saved it for the Primary Program. The theme of the program was Families Are Forever.

Here is Chloe's talk...
'Joseph Fielding Smith once said man existed before he came to this earth, and he will exist after he passes from it; and will continue to live throughout the countless ages of eternity.
We are taught that families are forever. A few months ago my Aunt had twin boys really early. After a few days one of the babies passes away. It was really hard on us and sad, but the thing that helped me get through it was knowing that I could see him again. I have a testimony that families are eternal. I'm so glad that I have my family. I like to say these things in the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

There was an Old Spider who Sat Down Beside Her

 Last week my we celebrated my Grandma Marshall's Birthday. Luckily my Mom and Jeff got to come to town for the big event. We started the night out with dinner at one of her favorite restaurants-Texas Roadhouse. Both of Grandma's daughters were there (my Mom and her sister Michelle), as well as 4 grand-daughters and a grand-daughter in law and their husbands and kids (great-grand-kids) so we had a lot of people.

 If you can't tell from the pictures Bryce was so excited to see Grandma Tawny-he talks to her every morning on the phone and had started asking her to 'come out' and play.

 Of course if you have a birthday at Texas Roadhouse they sing to you...they also bring around the birthday saddle-no way Grandma was getting on it...but she was only to happy to let the kids take turns.

 Bryce was in heaven! When they had to take it for another birthday he cried and cried. The workers felt so bad that after they sang to that person they brought it back to him and let him sit on it the rest of the night.

Now for the spider part-at some point during our meal a huge spider crawled out from between the wall and booth and came up right next to Chloe. It was scary and ugly...it took two employees to get rid of the thing. The nice thing was that they ended up giving us $10 off our bill because of it-I'm glad it didn't take a bite out of anyone.

After dinner we all went out to Grandma's house to hand out and visit for a bit. Since my Mom wan't going to be around she had the kids come trick or treating a few days early so she could see them in their costumes and give them a little treat.

 We had a fun night. I am so glad we have Grandma Marshall in our lives-she is a huge part of them and I don't know where we would be without her. She brings us all together and the kids all love her to bits.

Dish Helper

 Bryce loves to help out...his favorite chore is the dishes. Anytime anyone is loading or unloading the dishwasher he is right their in the middle of it. He has gotten quite proficient at loading the silverware and putting it in the drawer. Sometimes I will go in the kitchen and find him "helping" unloading the dishwasher onto the counter. I'm glad at least for now he is happy about helping and doing chores we will see if that changes in the next year or so.

Weekly Soccer Update-Another Win!!!

Chloe's team pulled off another win last Saturday. I can't even believe how well these girls are doing. Chloe played a great game-she wanted so badly to score a goal cause Grandma Tawny and Grandpa Jeff were in town. She came close several times-but just couldn't quite pull it off. Oh well-she fought hard and made some great passes and attempts.

Shopping Cart Sleeper

Last week was kind of a crazy-busy week (like every other week it seems), anyways it had been almost a week since I had been to the grocery store-we needed food!!! It was Friday night, usually I would leave Bryce with Landon or the kids, but Landon was busy with some side remodeling work for my sister and the kids were off on their own adventures, so I just took him with me. Of course he was over tired so by the time we got to the grocery store he was sound asleep. I felt like just going home-haha, but I knew now was my only chance to grab a few necessities. So...I laid him in the cart using my purse as a pillow. He slept the entire shopping trip as I carefully stacked the groceries around him. When I checked out the lady was like-um do you just want me to put these bags around him? I was like yep and give me what you can't and I'll carry the rest. Shopping trip and nap-successful!

Deer Hunt Weekend

A few Saturdays ago it was the opening day of the Deer Hunt. This year Tanner had a deer tag for the very first time. He was pretty excited to go. Per tradition Landon and Tanner road up to the top of the mountains. Landon's brothers Trevor and  Layne, a couple of Layne's kids, Jack, and a few of Layne's friends went as well. 

Bryce was in heaven when we dropped them off at the trail head and he got to spend some time riding the horses.

This picture was taken right before Landon handed him off to me-he immediately started crying and continued to do so most of the way back to Grandma's house. Maybe in a few years he will be big enough to go.

 Here are the mighty hunters!!!

Unfortunately the few days they spent on the mountains didn't end up with Tanner getting a deer. Saturday afternoon we decided to take him out on a little road hunt. By the time we pulled out we had 7 kids along with Landon and I piled into Landon's truck. It was an interesting ride. When we go to where we wanted to hunt we had Tanner get in the back so if we saw anything at least he would be able to shoot at it. We saw several does and then right before our eyes materialized a buck (2 point). We were all in the car yelling shoot it Tanner!! He was in the back having gun problems-he was trying to jack a bullet into the chamber, but in his excitement forgot there was already one in there so he kind of jammed it. By the time he figured it our the little buck had fled the scene. Tanner was disappointed, but at least the other kids were excited that they saw one.

The next weekend Tanner was able to ride back up to Fillmore with my Uncle Brad. Then he went hunting for a few days with Uncle Cody and Aunt Mandy. However, they didn't have any luck either as they only saw does each time they went out.

Tanner had fun though and is already looking forward to next year.
