Fresh Peach Pie + Recipe

Summer isn't over until we have had at least one fresh peach pie. A few weeks ago my sister Mandy came down and her, my Grandma and I made fresh peach pie. It is so good.

Here is the recipe:

PEACH PIE

You need a pie shell. Either a store bought or homemade and it needs to be cooked. (We made out shells)

1 large cream cheese
1/2 cup powdered sugar

Mix these two together and spread in the bottom of a baked pie shell.

3 peaches, mashed
1 cup sugar
3 TBSP. cornstarch
1/2 cup water

Bring these preceding ingredients to a boil and cook until think. Slice peaches into shell on top of cream cheese. Pour cooked mixture over peaches. Makes 2 Pies

Fall Soccer

Fall Soccer has begun. You know what that means-from now until October we will be spending out Saturdays at the Soccer Field. I love Fall Soccer! The weather is cooling down and the games are so nice to go to. I'm going to try and work at getting some nice action shots of Chloe this season. I wasn't very good at taking pictures in the Spring.

So far her team has won 1 and lost 2. The 2 they lost were both to the same team, a new team they haven't played before, which is pretty good, although not joking I think they have a couple players from the freshmen team playing with them.

Bryce

I couldn't help but have the photographer snap a few of Bryce while we were there. I wish I would have had a few more minutes to get together a cute outfit, but this was seriously last minute and we just ran over.

That smile, those eyes, his personality. I don't know what we would do without this little boy.

Bryce and Preslie

Preslie was having a photo shoot and she wanted a few pictures of her and Bryce. These two really are best friends, even though they have moments where they fight. They have been together almost from the time Preslie was born. Now they are starting a new adventure at preschool together. Their teachers say they are inseparable.

This picture...Preslie is always talking no stop...chatting Bryce's ear off...perfect depiction.

I can't believe we have a 16 year old. This kid sure gives us a run for our money. He is definitely a teenager and sometimes has a bad attitude. He has gotten into his share of trouble, but despite all that we love him, and we know that one day he will grow into a great young man. He has a great sense of humor, is  a great big brother (at least to Bryce), he works really hard at his job at Artic Circle, and at home when he's motivated too, he's a pretty good cook, and a good son.

Great Grandma Marshall made him his yearly birthday cheesecake. He was nice enough to share with the family.

On his Birthday I went into work a little later, so I could take him to the DMV to get his driver's license. There was no way he wanted to go to school on his 16th birthday without driving there himself. We bought a car awhile back and are letting him drive it-for his birthday Landon installed a new stereo. I think Tanner was pretty happy about it.

 Later that night we went out to dinner. He wanted to go to Outback Steakhouse. The funny thing is he didn't even order steak, but he ordered soup. HAHA funny kid-he just really likes it there.

Date Nights

Life has gotten busy with three kids, jobs, church callings, etc. We decided even with everything else going on in our busy lives we needed to do a better job of going on dates and just spending time with the two of us. We have been doing really good going and doing something once a week since we began. We take turns planning what we will do. A few things we have done are go bowling, go out for dinner or dessert, rent a movie and watch it without the kids, go to the demolition derby. It has been nice focusing on us a little bit more.

Radio Prize Winner

I have never won a contest of any type, but the other day my luck changed. I had dropped the older two kids off at school and was headed to take Bryce. The Radio station was doing the "Dictionary Game". They read a word definition and then the first person to call in with the correct word wins. I heard the definition and immediately knew the word.

The definition was...

drain (someone) of their physical or mental resources; tire out or

use up (resources or reserves) completely.

I quickly called in and was even more surprised when they answered and asked me what my guess was. I said "exhaust" and I was right. I won a package to the Washington County Fair, which included some treats, t-shirt, and tickets for the demolition derby.

When I told the kids I had won. They both thought I had cheated in some way-haha!!! They don't like to admit their mother is smart.
