Tonaquin Nature Park

Last week we went to the Tonaquin Nature Center with some of our friends. In all the years we have lived in St. George we have never been there. It was kind of a neat place and I think we will definitely go back. There is a nice duck pond, hiking trails, a park, and tennis courts.
The kids all fed the ducks. A first for Preslie and Bryce-they were enthralled.

Then we took the little kids over to the park to play. Another first for Bryce-swings! Once I got him in it-he loved it and cried when I took him out.

While the kids played at the park-Chloe and Brydee tried their hands at some tennis. A few days earlier they were in the garage playing "tennis" with some really small raquetball rackets-they wanted to play real tennis, so a trip to the DI produced to rackets that they could play "real tennis" with. They had a fun time.

The weather was perfect and it was a nice little outing. Best part when we got home-both the babies took a nice nap for me :)

Father & Sons / Girls Night

Last week Landon took the boys to the annual Fathers and Sons Camp-out. It was at Pine-valley Mountain.
Bryce was excited to go with the big boys. They had a fun time.
Chloe was so sad to think her Daddy was taking both boys camping and leaving her home. To compensate I told her we could have a girls night. She invited her best friend,Brydee, to spend the night. I took them both to 'House of Jump' and then we went out to dinner. It was fun spending time with just the two girls. After that we came home and they watched a movie while I went to bed-haha. I am getting old. I don't do late nights so well anymore. We all had a fun weekend.

15 Month Check-Up

A few weeks ago I took Bryce in for his 15 month check up. The Doctor said he is pretty healthy maybe a little on the small side, but healthy none the less. He weighed in at 20 lbs which is only in the 3 percentile of kids his age. He was 18.5 inches long which is in the 42 percentile of kids his age. Bryce is a picky picky eater but he loves to drink milk. The doctor told us to try and cut back his milk consumption a little bit to see if we could get him to eat more solids and gain a little weight and also to help him sleep through the night since he doesn't really do that yet.
He knows several words now, and is always surprising us with something new he says. His favorite two words are still "out" and "ball". He has also learned to say "no". He picks up on things really quickly and we have to stay on our toes with him. He will throw absolutely anything. He likes to 'play ball' with whatever he has available. A few days ago he somehow got a hold of a mug and slam dunked it in his basketball hoop. The mug unfortunately didn't make it. Oh yes and he loves the water-even if it's cold. Twice already this spring I have had to take him out of a freezing cold pool of water after he has been in it for an hour and his lips are starting to turn purple and he is shivering with cold.

Bryce Canyon

A few weeks ago my Mom and Jeff were going to be in Escalante...so we all decided that we would drive over to Bryce Canyon and meet up with my Mom there and spend the day with her. We went along with my Grandma Marshall, sister Sandi and her daughter Preslie, and sister Tiffanie and her family. We had a fun day exploring Bryce and hanging out. We haven't been there since our honeymoon almost 14 years ago.

Cupcake Helpers

The other day I had to make cupcakes for our ward party. Bryce and Preslie "helped" me.

I let them taste the beaters from the frosting-Preslie love them and licked hers clean. Bryce wouldn't even try his-but he did eat some of one of the cupcakes that was cooked. It remind me of the nursery rhyme Jack Sprat 'so betwixt the two of them they licked the platter clean'. LOL
