40 weeks old

Our little guy is 40 weeks old. I can't believe it!!! Every time someone see's him they are like WOW! he is almost a year old can are you sad. Yes I am don't remind me. I don't want him to grow up so fast :( He has the cutest little chipmunk cheeks and is usually such a happy pleasant baby. His new thing is that he loves to jump in his crib he pulls himself up and bounces away. He is also into everything so I am working on childproofing things-it's been years since I've had to do that! One of his favorite things to do is to help me when I'm loading the dishwasher or I guess help is a relative term-he pulls out the silverware and plays with it while I loaded it.

On Wednesday he had his 9 month check up. He didn't have to have shots, but he did have to have a heel prick. The doctor said he was doing good and that his healthy looking cheeks make him look bigger than he really is. He has reached all of the appropriate milestones. His stats are that for height he is 29" long which is the 73th percentile; he weighs 17 lbs. 10 oz which is only the 8th percentile (my 6 month nephew is 4 lbs bigger-lol). The only concern was a rash on his knees and diaper area, but the doctor thought it wasn't a big concern cause he was good everywhere else, so just to keep an eye on it-more on that to come.

Halloween

We had a couple of days worth of Halloween fun...

On Tuesday my Grandma and I made our traditional caramel apples-Yum-they were so good! I look forward to making them every year.

Then Tuesday night our ward had a Trunk-or-Treat. There were a lot of people who showed up. More than I expected I ran out of candy-lol. Anyways we all dressed up at least for the picture-then Tanner decided he was out. Ha Ha. Our Jungle them-Jane of the Jungle, 2 bananas, a gorilla and a monkey. Chloe got tons of candy at the trunk or treat.

On Wednesday Chloe had Crazy Hair Day...

On Thursday Chloe's school had a Halloween Parade. This time she was a banana and since Bryce was an accessory to her costume we went and walked in the parade with her. She carried him the whole time and every person we passed would be like oh so cute little monkey and a banana. She loved it!!!

That night we went trick or treating. Tanner decided he wanted to go so this time Chloe and him were bananas and Mom was the gorilla. Tanner did not think I was funny when I actually started acting like one-ha ha. Bryce wasn't having the best night but he tolerated it-come to find out he really wasn't feeling well (more to come on that). 

The kids of course got tons of candy and came home for the traditional sorting and trading of the candy.

Happy Birthday Grandma Marshall

Last Sunday was my Grandma Marshall Birthday. We had a birthday party/dinner that night at her house. It was lots of fun and the kids always have a blast playing with all their cousins. My Grandma is the best Grandma ever she is always willing to help any of us out whenever she can. We all love going to her house just to hang out. It is not uncommon for her to have one or more of her grand-kids show up at her house each day or to call and see if she wants to go somewhere with them. The kids love her too and now that she loves them. She is always trying to make it to all of their many ball games and keeps a special candy jar just for them. I am so glad she lives so close and we get to have her in our lives on a daily basis.

There were a lot of babies in attendance. She had 4 great grand babies born this year and they were all at the party...

My Mom was able to come to town for the whole weekend so she got lots of cuddles from the grand-kids...

Giant Pumpkins

When Grandma Wendy came to town she brought the kids each a giant pumpkin from her garden. I thought about carving one of them out and having Bryce sit in it but I didn't. They were big enough he for sure would have fit. They were so big they were hard for Landon to even lift. We decided the best thing to do would be to just spread a giant tarp out on the front-room floor and then work on them there. 

They all had fun getting the seeds out-Bryce was very entertained.

A little update...the Boston Redsox ended up wining the world series a few days after the carving of this pumpkin-it must have been good luck ;)

Soccer, Volleyball, and Baseball-oh my

Well we had another marathon weekend. We started off with Baseball games in Mesquite on Friday. Chloe, Bryce, my Grandma Marshall, and I traveled down there to watch Tanner. 

 Saturday Landon's Mom came to town bringing cousins with her. Landon took Jack with him and Tanner back down to Mesquite for more baseball. Tanner did okay in this tournament-he didn't have any great hits or plays though he didn't have any errors either it was just a ho-hum type weekend I guess. His team didn't do well at all they went 1-3.

Meanwhile in St. George Chloe started off the day with her first ever volleyball game. We didn't even know that it was starting up until we got a phone call about 6:00 Friday night-haha. I think she did okay for never having a practice or anything like that. She got a couple of points from serving and several more by hitting the ball back over the net.

 Then home for a quick snack and off to soccer. Chloe's team was on fire. They won 10-3. Chloe had three goals and several assists. The girls really have learned to work well together and to play their positions. Chloe was being a dynamite player-she had to show Grandma Wendy her moves. Her coach jokingly said maybe Grandma should come every week-lol.

 After all the games were over the kids had some time to play with their cousins. They had so much fun and didn't want it to end. Chloe was begging to please just go home with Grandma for 1 week and we had a hard time prying the boys away from Tanner and getting them into Grandma's car. Cousin visits are the best!

39 weeks old

39 weeks old and happy to have his big-bro home to spend part of the day with him. He is now pulling himself to stand next to anything he can grab hold of. He also has begun to cruise around the furniture. Look out world-he will be walking before we know it. He does the sign for milk quite well now and we all know what he is wanting when he does it. Sometimes we have to fight him to get him to sleep cause he doesn't like to miss out on anything. He can also throw a pretty good tantrum if you take something away from him.
